It’s pretty remarkable, but he’s right. Conservatives and Republicans have been making consistent gains at the local and state level of politics, but this election is an enormous jump for the right in the federal system now. Unfortunately, in order to do it, the Republican party sold it’s soul out to a dimwitted populist who doesn’t give a damn about the principles of the party or conservatism.
