Nancy Pelosi made sure to avoid all responsibility for losing millions of voters in the presidential election, and instead said that they needed a new message, not new policies or leaders.

Now on the one hand, I’m very glad that they’re not changing anything substantive because that means they’ll keep losing. But on the other hand, she’s kinda right about one thing – the policies had less to do with their losing in 2016 than their choice of a crappy candidate.
BUT, that’s also true of 2012 and 2008 – they didn’t win on policies, they won on the personal popularity of Obama during very tough circumstances for Republicans. We’re kinda post-policies right now. We just vote on who has more celebrity and popularity. So, enjoy Kanye versus Beyonce in 2020, with interchangeable policies.
