Chuck Krauthammer warned the Democrats that if they resisted el Trumpo on trying to defund and stop “Sanctuary Cities” for illegal aliens.

On “Special Report” tonight, Charles Krauthammer warned “sanctuary city” mayors against defying President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump has vowed to withhold federal funding from cities that shield illegal immigrants from possible deportation, and Krauthammer believes that Trump has legitimate federal authority to do so.
He argued that sanctuary cities should not be allowed in the first place, but they have been tolerated by Democrats, and now the issue is coming to a head.
“I think Trump would be within his rights to withholds funds, and he should,” Krauthammer said. “And the Democrats are making a big bet – and a mistaken one – if they decide that they’re going to defy the federal government and what seems to be common sense: Control your borders.”
I think that’s one of the few good things about Trump – IF he follows through on his promises. There is absolutely no reason to have “sanctuary cities” that thumb their nose at federal law efforts to deport illegal aliens. These policies just put American citizens under danger that could be easily remedied.
But, if Trump does what those morons Hannity and O’Reilly want, and arrest local law enforcement officers, then we’ll know he’s definitely an authoritarian dictator. Defunding cities in order to get them to cooperate with federal law is a whole other thing altogether.
