In the last day or so a young women, who left to join ISIS in 2014 and became an ISIS bride in Syria, has admitted that she realized the error of her ways and wanted to come back to the US. She’s 24 now but was 19 when she left.
But according to Kevin Corke from Fox News, her request has been denied by the State Department:
This is what happens when you go join the worst terrorist group on the planet and then say you want to come back. Some decisions just cannot be undone, no matter how sorry she feels for it. And I think rightly so. She could totally be an ISIS sleeper agent, lying just to come back and cause mayhem. No thanks.
Here’s more from Corke on the justification for this decision:
I’m sure the left is going apoplectic about this, and Ilhan Omar will probably be screaming about it later. But so far I haven’t seen anything from her.
Her lawyer, however, isn’t happy about it:
NEW: "The Trump administration continues its attempts to wrongfully strip citizens of their citizenship. Hoda Muthana had a valid US passport and is a citizen. She was born in Hackensack, NJ in October 1994," Hoda Muthana's attorney says https://t.co/324KXdKdzz pic.twitter.com/qEp8a40vhx

Yeah good luck with all that. I think she lost all her privileges when she became a terrorist.
UPDATE:
Trump just tweeted:
I have instructed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and he fully agrees, not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country!

UPDATE 2:
Muthama’s lawyer says her father stopped being a diplomat months before she was born:
#NEW #HodaMuthana’s legal rep says her father stopped being diplomat months before Hoda was born in NJ.
Hassan Shibly says "The Trump administration continues its attempts to wrongfully strip citizens of their citizenship."
The @StateDept hasn't said why it canceled hers.
