Dershowitz: It’s OBNOXIOUS to our Constitution to IMPRISON Manafort…

Once again I see a headline of what Dershowitz is saying, disagree with him completely, then listen to his argument and end up persuaded of his position. This time he tackles the imprisonment of Paul Manafort by a judge after saying he was tampering with a witness.

Watch below:

OK. So, he makes a really good argument that this is just another example of how grand juries often violate the civil rights of people in ways that other courts would simply never do. According to Dershy, he says that Manafort argues that he didn’t realize he was talking to witnesses when he got in trouble.

Unfortunately, he was talking to the witless dunces at Fox and Friends, so they don’t press him with a counterargument. I would have asked him to explain why Manafort was being so sneaky about his communications if he didn’t think he was going anything wrong – reportedly he was using a method of communication to escape detection by posting messages in a draft folder and allowing the other person access to the same email account. Dershowitz doesn’t address that incongruity.

Don’t miss how the relentless Trump suckup opens the segment by saying Manafort “briefly” worked on the president’s campaign – never change, Fox and Friends!!

Also – note that when they try to push the narrative that the IG report exposes a massive deep state conspiracy to take down their monarch, Dershowitz deflects and says the most important thing is rather that it proves Comey should have been fired – a far less extreme view.
