There’s been a phony story circulating today that some big DeSantis super PAC was upset with DeSantis and switching to Trump.
But it turns out this was an unauthorized PAC that had raised less than $300.
And it has NO money to support Trump. Zero. Zilch.
lol…I guess it's a more eye-catching headline than 'Unauthorized DeSantis ScamPAC that paid its founder 75% of the $1,621 it raised folds, will now support Trump with the $57 dollars it has left' pic.twitter.com/pAapDkmCJh

Whoops…was looking at the 2022 year-end report, not the most recent 2023 mid-year report.
The remaining cash available to support Trump is $0, not $57.
Mea culpa.https://t.co/F3E9rNJ3IF pic.twitter.com/XYMI587jhp

Total money raised in 2023? $291 dollars. Total expenditures? $348 dollars. And all the money they had leftover from 2022 was a piddly $57 dolllars. Everything they raised this year got spent on who knows what, so that they have ZERO dollars in the bank to support anyone.
They got nothing. And the kicker is that these two Republican operatives were scamming people, and this isn’t the first time:
(also, not the first time that the PAC's founder over-promised and under-delivered)https://t.co/o1XNMbXsoy pic.twitter.com/5WQoG3YReh

To put it simply, as Brian Griffin pointed out today, “Fake PAC, fake story. Debunked.”
