Grotesque. Four liberal Democrats on a podcast last night, two of them elected Representatives, mocked the awarding of the Medal of Honor at the State of the Union.
And let’s be very, very clear here. They did not just make fun of the idea of doing it at the State of the Union, though that would be bad enough. They literally mocked the award and, by extension, the recipients, trashing and belittling the entire thing.
The podcast, by the way, was titled “The Black People’s Response to the State of the Union” — I somehow doubt this podcast was given such a large mandate by those they claim to represent.
RNC got part of it, calling it “despicable,” but didn’t get the full scope as I did in the clip above.
… And on that note: I believe we should all be more empowered to find and call out things like this, wherever they happen. When the media does it, when politicians do it, when the cabal of celebrities and “influencers” join forces to do it. I believe there are ways each of us can make a much bigger impact on that, and I’m working hard on developing that concept.
