DHS has a plan to EXPEDITE deportations of illegals that will drive the left NUTS

DHS has a policy under review that would expedite the deportations of illegals by bypassing the immigration courts altogether:

POLITICO – The Homeland Security Department is weighing a plan to bypass immigration courts and remove undocumented immigrants who cannot prove they’ve been present continuously in the U.S. for two years or more.

The proposal is described in a draft regulatory notice, according to two DHS officials and a third person familiar with the planning. If finalized, it would represent the latest escalation of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

The administration has considered since 2017 expanding a fast-track deportation procedure known as “expedited removal,” but thus far has refrained from moving ahead.

The draft notice — which remains under review — would increase significantly the number of recently arrived undocumented immigrants subject to rapid deportation. Under the current standard, expedited removal is applicable only to immigrants picked up within 14 days of arrival. The two-week cutoff stems from a 2004 regulatory change, not from the 1996 statute that created the process.

The change could speed up the deportation of recent arrivals at the border and reduce the load on federal immigration courts, which have grappled with a soaring case backlog. But such a move likely would draw legal challenges — and a number of Trump polices have been sidelined by federal courts.

The policy would be effective nationwide, not just within 100 miles of the border as it is now.

It’s not clear when DHS will unveil this new policy, but it is sure to be the subject of a new lawsuit when and if they do.

Hopefully they will unveil it soon and we can get this underway.

  1. Spin the Wheel of leftist judges that will halt it. I wonder who it will be this time.

    1. @sjmom They will anyway. All they have to do is sideline Trump’s policies long enough to get him out of office then it will be back to open borders.

        1. @sjmom I think so too but the Dems will delay as much as possible. One thing that is kind-of a bummer is that this is only going to last as long as Trump’s presidency.

What needs to happen is for Congress to actually do something about it and fix the laws so they can’t be exploited. It appears that will never happen no matter how bad it gets.

        2. There’s been quite a bit of discussion about whether my Governor, Larry Hogan, will primary Donald Trump. He’s been interviewed several times. The bottom line was he said “never say never.” We LOVE him here in Maryland, plus he’s the most popular Governor in the country, but only he can make a decision and do what he feels is best and right. He has been awesome at cleaning up Maryland and getting rid of Owe Malley’s crap. He has proven himself to be an awesome leader. He’s as trustworthy as they come. He knows how to work beautifully with both sides and get things done. He also has said he will not run for President unless he sees a clear pathway to victory. Right now, he is traveling to a few places, like New Hampshire and speaking with people and sounding VERY presidential. New Hampshire is one place presidential candidates go to campaign. I think he is testing the waters to get a feel for how much support he would have and how much people like him. He’s very, very smart to do this. PS. Ted still is my first choice. I wish he was our President now, but sadly he isn’t, so I wish we could have him in 2020. Right now, it doesn’t look too likely that he will primary Donald Trump, but no one really knows at this point. I think if any Republican is going to primary Trump, it most likely will be Governor Hogan, but of course I could be wrong.

      1. True. I thought about that so that means they have to find a way to fast track things to SCOTUS

  2. It’s badly needed. The whole strategy is to backlog the entire system at every level and very few of them show up for court. Once we release them it’s game over….for us. The loopholes in the law are so bad I can understand why border agents are quitting. They catch ’em and our stupid laws get them released soon after on our soil. It’s dumb.

  3. It is mind-boggling that DHS can’t remove illegals from the country immediately as soon as they are identified and apprehended. Our activists courts and the insane immigration laws that Congress refuses to fix are our biggest roadblocks for sanity in immigration enforcement.

  5. If he can do it, do it! It would also help if he took away the honey that’s attracting them — all the freebies: NO welfare, NO food stamps, NO subsidized housing, NO bilingual education, NO driver’s licenses (they can keep the one that says they’re from Mexico or points south), and NO jobs without a valid green card. We need a full implementation of E-Verify. Oh, and NO AMNESTY for “Dreamers,” no matter how convinced Trump is by them. That’s just more honey.

  6. Lets not do things to drive the left nuts but to maintain law. We will end up driving them nuts anyway.

  7. The Left is already nuts!! Who gave the Federal Courts so much strength and leverage over the POTUS, allowing them to essentially legislate law and negate his Constitutional powers?

    1. Amen! Plus the repeal of Obamacare and the wall that he “promised” during his campaign. If we had Ted as our President right now, ALL of these things already would have been done, or at least well underway.

  8. Well that’s peachy keen and all that, but America has been waiting for deportations for a long time now, and all we see are daily updates on (fill in the blank)___________ numbers of illegals were released into America today. I’ll believe this when I see trains and buses and marching columns of illegals all heading south, at gunpoint if necessary.

    1. Yep. The ONLY thing that counts is action. Words without action are cheap and meaningless.

  12. They better hurry up and do something. This border situation is totally out of control and I’m sick of people coming in by the droves illegally and being bused all over the US, expecting a handout, draining our welfare coffers dry, and overcrowding our hospitals and schools. Totally unacceptable. Hope Trump realizes his supporters are getting restless.

    1. I am sick sick of illegals kick them out
they are breaking our damn laws and I for one can’t take much more
I blame the damn GOP more than Trump they have abandoned him the lazy worthless scumbags

  13. Be in violation of the law for 2 or more years and you get due process? Why? Only in immigration law can a lengthy violation get increased leniency. Immigration law is upside-down from other laws.

  14. But such a move likely would draw legal challenges

    “Likely?”

Trump could propose “National Hug a Puppy Day” and it’d draw legal challenges. They do it just to spite him.

    1. Yo! Sent. O/T but check out the band [UPDATED TO REVERSE BAND AND CD] Crazy Lixx (CD: Ruff Justice). I think it’ll be up your alley. And check out FFDP’s version of Blue on Black from Kenny Wayne Shepherd. They said all proceeds from that song go The Gary Sinise Foundation.

Dream Theater was in town the other day. If I wasn’t so nervous about that last CD I might’ve went but by the time I liked the CD only 3rd balcony back was left.

        1. I said it was off topic. Sentinel and I have been going to concerts together for years and have the same taste in music. Plus I said I didn’t to to the DT concert. So not only did you miss read my comment directed for someone else but then you question me with a WTH based on your own lack of understanding.

So no. Not high from any concert.
