Joe Biden’s top border henchman, DHS Secretary Mayorkas, just made the most blatantly absurd comment while testifying before the House Committee on Homeland Security.
The subject of the hearing is “Worldwide Threats to the Homeland”, but Congressman Bishop asked a much simpler and more basic question of Mayorkas regarding the border.
Rep. Bishop asked Mayorkas “Do you continue to maintain that the border is secure?”
Mayorkas responded “Yes. And we are working day in and day out to enhance its security.”
Enhance???? This flies in the face of everything we know about the border. With so many illegals crossing the border and turning themselves in to the border patrol, DHS has had to ask for volunteers from the administration to help manage the humanitarian crisis. It’s so bad that border patrol officers have been relegated to menial tasks dealing with these illegals instead of actually protecting the border.
Add to this that in fiscal 2022, the feds say that there have been well over half a million “gotaways” that they’ve counted at the border. The actual number is just shy of 600,000 “gotaways”, which is about 1,500 illegals every single day escaping into our country. That’s just the ones they know about.
So for Mayorkas to maintain that the border is still secure is nothing more than a bold faced lie and he should absolutely be impeached for it.
