Senator Dick Durbin was decrying Republican treatment of Biden’s SCOTUS nominee, but then admitted that Democrats have been unfair to Republican nominees ‘in history’:

The admission Durbin makes here is very, very underwhelming, especially to equate how Republicans like Cruz and Hawley questioned Jackson to how they’ve treated Republican nominees “in history”.
Actually, it’s a rather absurd comparison when you consider how they tried to destroy Justice Kavanaugh just a few years ago. It was so insanely corrupt that it brought Kavanaugh to tears as he defended himself.
Both Hawley and Cruz questioned Jackson on her judicial record, statements and writings from her past. Never once did they look through her yearbook and find someone from her past to accuse her of a horrible crime or anything of the sort.
Not to mention how Joe Biden and Democrats treated Clarence Thomas. And the list goes on.
No, I don’t accept this admission from Durbin. He’s got to do a lot better than that before I’ll believe he’s being sincere and not just using it as a cudgel to hammer Republicans.
