Did Israel really blow up Iran’s embassy?

David Reaboi posted something quite interesting and I thought it was worthy sharing. There’s been a lot said about Iran’s latest attack after Israel killed a bunch of Iranian terrorists in Damascus on April 1st.

But the one thing that seems to be repeated often is that Israel bombed Iran’s embassy in Damascus, when they in fact did not.

Israel bombed the Iranian terrorist building connected to the embassy.

The embassy still stands and you can see it here from photos uploaded to Google Maps. The building attached to it was what Iran called their ‘consular’ building, but was in fact where the IRGC terrorist did their work.

From Reuters on April 1st: “Suspected Israeli warplanes bombed Iran’s embassy in Syria on Monday in a strike that Iran said killed seven of its military advisers, including three senior commanders.”

Seven IRGC terrorists were killed and that was it. The embassy itself was spared. It was a very targeted strike by Israel and one that was necessary to try and prevent the flow of weapons to Hezbollah.

Iran’s attack this weekend, however, was meant to kill or maim thousands of people across Israel, mostly civilians. I know Israel isn’t perfect, but Iran should absolutely pay a big price for this attack.
