Doc who sounded alarm has a WARNING about Omicron variant, too: CALM DOWN.

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, chairwoman of the the South African Medical Association, has a warning about the Omicron variant that is slightly different from Dr. Evil Fauci’s doomsaying. The woman who has worked directly with Omicron while Fauci was busy doing his weekly fame and glory tour can be summarized as “prepare for least.”

She’s telling the world to hold up and not panic. Quite a different message from our media this weekend, of which Fauci is a prominent member.

The first South African doctor to alert the authorities about patients with the omicron variant has told The Telegraph that the symptoms of the new variant are unusual but mild.

Dr Angelique Coetzee said she was first alerted to the possibility of a new variant when patients in her busy private practice in the capital Pretoria started to come in earlier this month with Covid-19 symptoms that did not make immediate sense.

They included young people of different backgrounds and ethnicities with intense fatigue and a six-year-old child with a very high pulse rate, she said. None suffered from a loss of taste or smell.

“Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” said Dr Coetzee, a GP for 33 years who chairs the South African Medical Association alongside running her practice.

The Blaze sums up the most important points pretty succinctly right here.

Coetzee has also explained of the new variant, “It presents mild disease with symptoms being sore muscles and tiredness for a day or two not feeling well. So far, we have detected that those infected do not suffer loss of taste or smell. They might have a slight cough. There are no prominent symptoms. Of those infected some are currently being treated at home.”

According to the Telegraph, Coetzee made clear in a briefing to other African medical organizations that “her patients were all healthy,” and that her real concern was for older people and those with co-morbidities.

“So are we seriously worried? No. We are concerned and we watch what’s happening. But for now we’re saying, ‘OK: there’s a whole hype out there. [We’re] not sure why,” she said. “Currently there’s no reason for panicking as we don’t see severely ill patients.”

Calm down. That’s not something Georgie Stephie is ready to do, and neither is Dr. Evil. Or any Democrats in power.

The WHO says omicron is mild. The doctor dealing with it in Africa says the same. But American TV says “prepare for the worst” and teases lockdowns, while New York declares a preemptive emergency.

The “worst”? That’s what we already have. It’s the lockdown/mandate junkies.

Update: This post was updated to include/single out the “no reason for panicking” quote.
