Way back in dark ages known as 2012, Kayleigh McEnany complimented Domino’s Pizza and they responded with gleeful thanks:
@kayleighmcenany That's one heck of a compliment! Thanks for the love! #WEAPPRECIATEIT!

Fast forward to yesterday. For some strange reason Rick Wilson (probably doing anti-Trump research, or maybe he was drunk, or both) decided to retweet the above 2012 response from Dominos and accuse them of ruining their brand:
You just killed your brand. #ETTD https://t.co/NdGee87xvH

Dominos responded diplomatically, but made a subtle point about just how bizarre the tweet was from Wilson:
Welp. It's unfortunate that thanking a customer for a compliment back in 2012 would be viewed as political. Guess that's 2020 for ya.

Nice!
More than a few people were quick to tweet their praise of Domino’s response:
DOMINOS GIVE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR A RAISE!
Incredible.

I don’t really care for your pizza, but will happily order Domino’s next time for this response!
