“Donald Trump is still mad that Bibi congratulated Biden in November of 2020”

Governor Ron DeSantis was asked tonight about the temperament needed when being a leader, using Trump’s comments attacking Netanyahu earlier this week as a basis for the question.

Here’s what DeSantis said:

The entire video is certainly worth watching, but here’s a transcipt of his comments about Trump:

I think having a temperament that is agreeable is something that is very helpful. You don’t want to be in a situation where you’re making decisions because somebody personally slighted you and you’re mad at that. No, the decisions are not about things people have done to you, the decisions are about how it’s going to impact the people that you represent.

So, with respect to Bibi Netanyahu, Donald Trump is still mad that Bibi congratulated Biden with a tweet in November of 2020. And he’s like ‘I’m never going to talk to him again’ and all this other stuff. So why bring that up when their nation is now at war and facing the worst attack that they’ve ever faced to try to have that dispute aired publicly?

That is not how you treat an ally. It’s not how I would treat an ally. … You’ve got to be bigger than a lot of this. You’ve got to look higher. A leader can’t get dragged into the muck on all this stuff that happens in our society.”

DeSantis is a true leader and he’s the perfect candidate in this race to become president. I hear it every time he speaks and I see it with his actions in Florida.
