This is a great example of the crazy that police have to deal with.
Here’s body cam video of a student charging a cop with a pipe, ignoring calls to stop and put down the weapon, and ultimately getting shot by the cop.
Fortunately the kid doesn’t die and is in stable condition now at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The cop was of course put on mandatory administrative leave, but I can’t see anything coming of that. Clearly his life was put in danger by this student and he reacted appropriately.
I’m guessing the student was high on drugs or something like that. It’s really a sad situation and I don’t post it to make fun of the kid, but to show the dangers that cops are placed in every day.
We often thank our troops for putting their lives on the line, but the blue line does the same thing and I don’t wanna forget that.
