‘Don’t you dare accuse me of defending Trump!’ – Alan Dershowitz SCOLDS MSNBC panel

Last night Alan Dershowitz was on MSNBC during a panel on Trump and this Russian meeting, where he argued that even if Trump went to the meeting looking for dirt on Hillary Clinton, it still wouldn’t be a crime because collusion isn’t a crime. He notes that people on the panel need to differentiate between actual sins and political sins, as some on the panel clearly want to turn this into a crime that Mueller can use against Trump.

So that’s the background. At some point one of the panelists accuses Dershowitz of ‘defending Trump’, and he unleashes on them, telling them as clearly as he can that he isn’t defending Trump, he’s defending the law. It’s they, he says, who are trying to stretch the law to fit a crime that doesn’t exist.

Watch:

Dershowitz is quite passionate about his defense of the law, as you can see. He’s taken a lot of heat for defending Trump, especially at a time when the left wants Trump’s head on a platter. And this isn’t the first time he’s had to defend himself and his arguments from those who would call him a spinster defender for Trump – and it probably won’t be the last.
