Peter Doocy gave a great question to Jen Psaki today, asking her if the White House is just going to blame Putin for everything until the midterms get here:
Of course Psaki says gas prices have gone up $.75 since the invasion began and thus continues to blame Putin.
But Doocy hits back, noting that before the war they were blaming inflation on the pandemic. Now it’s Putin.
Doocy also wanted to know how much longer the White House thought inflation would last considering they called it ‘temporary’ last spring:
Short answer, she says it will start going away by the end of the year. Yeah, right.
Lastly, here’s a chart the White House just put out on our natural gas exports. Notice anything interesting about the chart?
U.S. natural gas production is at a record high. In fact, the U.S. was a net exporter of petroleum and petroleum products in each of the last two years, and will be a net exporter of natural gas for years to come. pic.twitter.com/T0q5Z1Egr2

As Sean Davis pointed out on Twitter, “Your chart stops in 2020. Who was president then?”
