Drew Brees, Russell Wilson and other NFL stars voiced their concerns that the NFL wasn’t doing enough to protect them for the coming season by tweeting under the hashtag, “we want to play.”
We need Football! We need sports! We need hope! The NFL’s unwillingness to follow the recommendations of their own medical experts will prevent that. If the NFL doesn’t do their part to keep players healthy there is no football in 2020. It’s that simple. Get it done @NFL

I am concerned.
My wife is pregnant.@NFL Training camp is about to start..And there’s still No Clear Plan on Player Health & Family Safety. 🤷🏾
We want to play football but we also want to protect our loved ones. #WeWantToPlay

I want to play ball this year! But we are going to need the @NFL to make sure they are listening to everyone and taking the steps for the players and their families to be safe! #WeWantToPlay
— Derek Carr (@derekcarrqb) July 19, 2020
I SECOND THIS! How has the @NFL had this long to prep but still have NO real plan in place? We are less than 10 days before we are REQUIRED to report! I refuse to put my pregnant wife/family at risk w/o understanding exactly what the plan for our safety & well being will be. https://t.co/bepNjRiml0

It’s a shame that the @nfl doesn’t care about doing their part to keep players healthy and safe. They need to make sure football can come back the right way. We have to look out for ourselves as well as our families. #WeWantToPlay

It’s crazy to hear the NFL has yet to address major health and safety issues with training camp being 2 weeks away. We want to play football. Make it happen @NFL. Keep us safe!#WeWantToPlay

Once again in the interest of keeping everyone (players & fans) as informed as possible, here is an updated list of what we as players know and don’t know as the first group gets set to report to training camp tomorrow.#WeWantToPlay pic.twitter.com/xQcjs33zgM

Playing football and feeling safe at work SHOULD NOT be mutually exclusive! Time is running down and we need answers #WeWantToPlay pic.twitter.com/YPboNL47Mf

It blows my mind that the NFL is unwilling to follow the recommendations of their own experts regarding player health and safety. If we want to have a FULL season this year we need the NFL to listen to their experts! #WeWantToPlay pic.twitter.com/q55RpqRzPu

You want to watch football this year? Us players need to remain healthy in order to make that happen. The @NFL needs to do their part in order to bring football back safely in 2020. #WeWantToPlay

If #AdamSilver can respect the voices and protect his @NBA players why can’t @NFLcommish do the same? Listen to your players. If we want to have a full season it will have to look different with OUR safety as the priority. @NFL make the necessary changes. #WeWantToPlay

Wow. That’s kind of a big deal. If the players are calling out the NFL just a few weeks before training camp, then how can the fans be assured that the NFL is going to protect them in the stands? This is making me think that the season is in more peril than the NFL is willing to let on. And that’s too bad because the Buffalo Bills were definitely going to win the Super Bowl this year.

Twitter is slamming Marco for mistakenly posting the wrong photo.
FWIW, others often confuse Marco & me. People regularly come up to me & say “I love you, Sen. Rubio.”
I don’t correct them & I’ll take a pic, but as they’re taking it I whisper, “actually, I voted for Cruz.” 🤷🏻♂️

I don’t understand the point of Botox. Nobody has ever looked better after doing it. Everyone’s post-Botox look lands somewhere on the spectrum of horrifying.

I will neither confirm nor deny the allegations leveled in the above tweet, it’s just kinda funny.

This is very accurate, but you can’t accuse the next generation of being snowflakes without pointing at least some of the blame to the parents from the generation before them.

I would make a “There’s Something About Mary” joke here, but that would be really gross, so I won’t. [It’s photoshopped, not real.]
Calm down, folks. Walmart is just asking you to wear a mask. You can still wear your pajamas and you can still leave your teeth at home.

Who needs fake news polls?! We got boats. Y’all have a great Sunday night and a good week. Wear a mask, be good to each other, and stop yelling at me on Twitter…
