Drew Brees ATTACKED by liberals for “Bring your Bible to School Day” message

It’s fitting to post this tonight while the Bears and Packers are playing. Drew Brees, famed quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, created a very short “bring your Bible to school” message for Focus on the Family. Here’s the video:

Brees says in the video:

“Hey guys. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 5:7: For we live by faith, not by sight. So I want to encourage you to live out your faith on ‘Bring your Bible to School Day’ and share God’s love with friends. You’re not alone.”

What a great message!

Yet he’s been attacked by liberals because Focus on the Family is a Christian organization which is pro-traditional marriage:

CBN NEWSNewsweek wrote an article titled: “Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints Quarterback, Records Video Produced by Anti-Gay Group Focus on the Family.”

Out Magazine wrote another titled, “NFL Quarterback Appears in Commercial for Anti-Gay Extremists,” and Big Easy Magazine wrote, “Drew Brees Records Video for Anti-LGBT Religious Organization.”

The articles bashed Brees for his involvement, labeling Focus on the Family an anti-LGBT group.

“Focus on the Family supports and promotes the practice of ‘conversion therapy,’ which uses a combination of shaming, emotionally manipulative and traumatic stimuli, and physically painful stimuli in order to ‘cure’ LGBTQ+ people of their sexual orientation,” Jenn Bentley of Big Easy Magazine wrote.

How pathetic. The messages says nothing about gay marriage. It’s just a Christian message and liberals can’t stand it. They simply can’t tolerate organizations that don’t fall in line with the homosexual agenda.

I’ve always liked Drew Brees and I like him even more now. Kudos to him for being part of such a great message.
