Ed Schultz calls Laura Ingraham is a ‘right wing slut’

***UPDATE: Ed Schultz suspended for one week***

Radical leftist Ed Schultz, via Radio Equalizer, referred to radio host Laura Ingraham as a ‘right wing slut’ and then again as a ‘talk slut’. This crosses the line so far that I’m not sure even if MSNBC can keep Ed Schultz on TV at this point.

The question is will MSNBC excuse this or will they do the right thing and fire him?

UPDATE: Not fired, just suspended without pay for one week:

MSNBC has suspended Ed Schultz for one week without pay for calling Laura Ingraham a ‘right-wing slut’ on his radio program Tuesday.

“Remarks of this nature are unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” MSNBC said in a statement Wednesday evening.

Schultz will address the remarks on his television show Wednesday night, and begin his leave immediately afterward, MSNBC said.

  1. Honestly it is stuff like this that really make you appreciate the integrity of guys like Beck with all the hours he broadcasts every day, that you dont see him making mistakes like this.

    1. True enough.

Though I’d have to point out that it was not a “mistake” or a misstatement. “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

I think he was sincere in his apology, I really do, but the fact that he said this at all speaks volumes.

  2. He should be fired. That would leave MSNBC with about 10 viewers.

Oh, and where was NOW to defend Laura after this misogynistic remark?

    1. N.O.W. Never jumps up to help conservative women. They should be the National Organization of Liberal Women.

  3. Ed Schultz now begins to taste the wrath of Andrew Breitbart’s “Righteous Indignation”.

What’s a difference the push-back from blogosphere news media have made since 2008. The public outcry serves a clear notice to the rest of LSM that this type of abusive practise on public broadcast cannot be tolerated nor go unchecked.

  4. I thought he only had about 2 regular viewers anyway, so how did anyone know he called Ms. Ingraham that nasty word? Unless the viewers were either his mom and a feminazi?

    1. That means his audience of ten will be devoid of talking points for a week. What a tragedy!

  5. This is not acceptable behavior. Ask yourself – had a conservative talk host on any cable network spoke this way about a liberal woman, what would have been the result? We all know the answer. A suspension is not good enough. He needs to go. If this is an example of MSNBC, I am reminded of why I never watch.

  6. Them fighting words! Laura’s my girl. She handled it with so much class. You really have to ignore Ed Schultz, he want’s to have a following like Laura or Glenn but there’s not enough nutter’s out there.

  7. The signature rage, pomposity and vulgarity are oozing all over from this lefty slimy slug (for the lack of a better term) who doesn’t even have the basic courtesy to women. Is there any new surprise coming from the cesspool of MSNBC?

  8. It’s like a commercial for his show. This is what he says without actually saying it. Hey all of you vile left wingers, I’m as vile as they come. You’ll feel right at home here. I’m unprincipled, lower than a squirmy wormy, a little more slimy and without a scintilla of shame. Come on down(!), and I do mean, down.

  9. How shameful!!!!! I would hope the women on the network will have something to say.

  10. Don’t worry guys. We are the only ones who viewed Ed- his ratings for the day was 9 viewers.

  11. This is just unfreaking believable that he is allowed to spew hatred like this on tv. The man should be fired and permanantly shut off from tv. Freedom of speech does not mean you demean a woman. PIG!

    1. I disagree. We don’t need to silence anyone. His kind of talk brings more to our side.

        1. Yes. I wonder if a quick kick to the groin would hurt him? If not, a punch in the boobies might work.

  12. Totally and completely uncalled-for. I listen to Laura and I have NEVER heard her stoop to this kind of level. EVER.

    An apology will not suffice.

As usual, it would only be by a huge groundswell of outrage that will make a change. Don’t count on his own radio station to do jack about it. Just like when Juan Williams was unjustly sacked, it took a lot of vocal outrage for his former bosses to suddenly decide to seek employment elsewhere. Light em up!

    1. it would only be by a huge groundswell of outrage that will make a change.

It is the Ed Schult show, so MSNBC will defend him by saying no one heard it.

  13. Want to understand the STENCH OF DESPERATION oozing from the lunatic-left d-cRAT socialists ? Here’s the reason:

    “Any Republican over Obama”
    May 21, 2011

The results of a presidential balloting poll with a “generic” Republican pitted against Barack Obama can’t be making the incumbent president feel secure in his cushy Oval Office chair. The not yet named Republican is running two points ahead of Obama — cruising along at 45% to Obama’s 43%.

These latest Rasmussen Reports survey results numbers (which AGREE with the results of similar Gallup survey) can’t be comforting to the lunatic-left, which is why the d-cRAT socialists are now in a state of total desperation.

Also, per the latest Zogby 2012 Presidential Election Poll (24May11): 52 Percent Say ‘Time for Someone New’

Please do what you can to make sure that as many lunatic-leftists see this info as possible because 1. the lamestream socialist media will NEVER show it and 2. when they see it, they’ll go even more insane with depression – maybe even become suicidal.

  14. Don’t ya just love the party of tolerance, compassion, and espousing for an open mind?

In case you didn’t know, this the party that also espouses “womens rights” and “respect for women.”

    1. Hear hear! Just not conservative women. I mean, you see how NOW really got behind SPalin right? Right?

No doubt, they’ll be all over him for this. Though I won’t hold my breath for that either.

    2. I want to see what happens when a person gets two responses. To see what it looks like and how it lines up.

All I know is, you are “well-loved”. 4 likes triggers the love.

    1. He does seem a little under the weather. I wonder if he’s taking Michele Obama’s advice about his diet?

  15. Hey Scoop, I hate having to scroll to the bottom of the comments to find the latest ones. Can’t we have an option like the last system that we can sort by the latest at the top? Thanks.

  16. what a putz. Ole ed needs duct tape over his potty mouth. ought to be interesting when Laura gets wind of it.

  17. He seemed a bit sauced himself. I don’t hate Obama for drinking a beer. Guinness is grrrrrrreat!

  18. I don’t doubt MSLSD will give him a raise since his rhetoric fits into their narrative. Personally, I think their whole station should be FIRED.

  19. Sigh…. oh Ed

Since losing Olbermann, I’ve compared the primetime lineup of MSNBC to the Miami Heat. Of the big 3 (O’Donnell, Maddow, Schultz) 2 stand out as enjoyable (I’m clearly speaking for us lefties, I know most republicans can’t stand any liberal pundit)

Ed’s departure is long overdue. Good riddance.

    1. apparently some people LIKE to hit themselves in the head with a blunt object.

That’s WHY we call you LIBRATARDS.

    2. “I know most republicans can’t stand any liberal pundit”

-That’s not true, there are some liberal pundits that actually attempt to debate on the issues. Two that come to mind are Alan Colmes and Juan Williams. It is possible to disagree with someone without hurling personal attacks, which is why MSNBC is a total disaster!

  20. I’m starting to feel bad for the guy who played lovable and jovial Sergeant Schultz on Hogan’s Heroes. Ed’s giving him a bad name.
