Yesterday we told you that Elon Musk bravely announced that he would be voting Republican for the first time in his life in this year’s election.
Today he took to Twitter to explain why he’s no longer voting for Democrats:
“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold…”

But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.
Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿

I love the fact that Musk is not afraid to call out Democrats and say this publically, just as he’s trying to finalize his deal to purchase Twitter. No fear.
As you can imagine, Democrats are whining about it and are already on the attack. Elon Musk is now enemy number one to them:
So the party of Trump—the one that demonizes immigrants and embraces the “great replacement” theory—is now the “kindness party” while Democrats are now the “party of division & hate”? Good grief. 🤦♂️ https://t.co/mrOZafgu2i

every tweet this guy posts is a cry for attention https://t.co/L0mpmzMpOH

Elon Musk had nothing to say about the far-right white supremacist who targeted Black people in Buffalo. He had nothing to say about the Republicans who push the Great Replacement theory that radicalized him. But today Musk called Dems the party of hate. That speaks for itself. https://t.co/sGCPFxUlu5

The Republican Party is literally fresh off a violent insurrection. Their current messaging involves falsely accusing their political targets of being groomers and pushing the white supremacist Great Replacement theory that radicalizes terrorists
What a complete joke this guy is https://t.co/HbcBOgcc7P

Framing the GOP as the anti-hate party not even a week after the Buffalo shooting is certainly a choice. https://t.co/szY30izbdV

Democrats lie all the time. The replacement ‘theory’ they are attacking Republicans for is actually happening and Democrats are the ones perpetrating it. Just look at the southern border as Exhibit A. The violent insurrection on January 6th was NOT an insurrection at all, but just an unarmed riot. Certainly despicable, but still not an insurrection. These people are a joke and they fear the influence Musk now has because of his continuing purchase of Twitter. You can believe they will all over TV defending themselves and trashing him for the next week after these comments.
