Here we go.
Ben Smith with the New York Times just tweeted out that there’s enormous pressure on NBC to make their town hall with Trump tonight a nightmare for him:
Enormous pressure on NBC now to make this thing a nightmare for Trump.

Since there’s no presidential debate tonight, Trump will be on NBC at 9PM for a town hall at the same time Biden is doing a town hall with ABC. And according to Ben Smith, NBC is under tremendous pressure to try and use their town hall to help Joe Biden.
Now he doesn’t say where that pressure is coming from, but I’ll give you one guess where I think it’s coming from. Seriously, it’s either from Joe Biden’s campaign or all of his acolytes out there in real media and social media.
Here’s a little reaction to Smith’s comment:
Trump's message is that the media and other powerful institutions are *completely* corrupt in service of their partisan agenda. They seem intent on proving him right, day after day. https://t.co/k3CzaOmW8z

Any similar pressure on ABC to make this thing a nightmare for Biden? https://t.co/pp8y9wXkzh

No pressure on ABC to make Biden's town hall even remotely challenging. He hasn't been asked any tough questions so far, why start now? https://t.co/f0VH05hBUg

Yashar Ali doesn’t seem to think this pressure is any big deal to NBC News and Savannah Guthrie:
Well from a certain segment of Twitter yes…but it's not a pressure NBC cares about enough to unfairly make adjustments. It's certainly not a pressure @SavannahGuthrie feels. https://t.co/xuitdpcMpj

I hope he’s right, but let’s just say I’m not going to hold my breath on this one.
