It looks like a new axis of powers defending the use of chemical weaponry, I think they’re calling themselves the “Axis of Gasholes.” Russia, their pal Syria, and the always honest and honorable Iran got together to chide America and to push conspiracy theories about the gas attack.

This seems a little histrionic. It’s one thing to say that the rebels caused the gas attack maybe accidentally, but to say it’s staged would mean that people on the ground were complicit somehow, and that seems terribly unlikely. El Scoopo wrote up the reasons why some doubt the veracity of the accusation against Assad, you can read that here.
But I have to say, when ya got Iran and Hezbollah cheering for your side, while the U.S. has, like, every other country in the world rooting for us, it’s hard to think Putin is being honest on this one.
And even more odd, both sides keep saying they want an investigation, and accuse the other side of not wanting an investigation. Uh, why can’t we just have the damn investigation already?!?!
