Fauci was asked today by CNN what his advice is on having New Year’s parties and of course, he said that people shouldn’t have them:
Fauci says if you’re ‘vaccinated and boosted’ then you can spend time at ‘home’ with family and relatives. How nice of him. But…
“But when you’re talking about a New Year’s Eve party where you have 30, 40, 50 people celebrating, you do not know their vaccination status. I would recommend strongly: stay away from that this year. There will be other years to do that, but not this year.
Honestly, I might have expected Fauci to say this about the vulnerable and that might be good advice for them.
But he says it for everyone? C’mon, Omicron isn’t even that bad. Many don’t even know they have it and for the one that do get symptoms, it’s mostly mild. The hospitalizations with Omicron are very low.
Why scaremonger with this? I don’t get it. Is he just saying this because he thinks he’s supposed to say it? Would he say this for the common cold? Or maybe the flu? Why treat this differently, especially when the new more virulent variant is so mild.
This is why people don’t trust him anymore because he’s lost all credibility and his advice doesn’t make sense.
