FBI opens investigation into Cuomo’s nursing home cover-up; Fredo ordered SILENT on big bro and MORE

Both the FBI and the DOJ have now opened an investigation into the Cuomo cover-up of nursing home deaths in New York:

TIMES UNION – The FBI and the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn have launched an investigation that is examining, at least in part, the actions of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s coronavirus task force in its handling of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities during the pandemic, the Times Union has learned.

The probe by the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York is apparently in its early stages and is focusing on the work of some of the senior members of the governor’s task force, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter who is not authorized to comment publicly.

Last March, as the virus began spreading in New York, Cuomo issued a news release listing the 13 initial members of his coronavirus task force, which has been headed by Linda Lacewell, an attorney and former chief of staff for Cuomo. Lacewell is the superintendent of the state Department of Financial Services. Other task force members include state health Commissioner Howard Zucker, Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa and Beth Garvey, counsel to the governor.

“As we publicly said, DOJ (Department of Justice) has been looking into this for months,” said Richard Azzopardi, a spokesman for the governor. “We have been cooperating with them and we will continue to.”

Azzopardi did not disclose whether any members of the administration have been interviewed or if they have been served with any subpoenas.

John Marzulli, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn, on Wednesday afternoon said he could not “confirm or deny” whether the office has initiated an investigation.

Well it’s about dang time someone starts looking into this now admitted cover-up by Cuomo and his administration. But if you asked me whether Cuomo will actually get what he deserves, I’d have to say I’ll believe it when I see it. Because most government officials seem to be able to get away with murder.

In related news, Chris Fredo Cuomo has suddenly been ordered silent by CNN on his scandalous brother:

Certain hosts on CNN have started slowly covering the scandal, but Fredo won’t touch it. And I’d be willing to bet money that Fredo ran to CNN management and begged them to ban him from talking about his brother, to give him cover so he could keep ignoring the story.

Here’s the statement from CNN on the silencing of Cuomo:

In a prepared statement, a CNN spokesperson said, “The early months of the pandemic crisis were an extraordinary time. We felt that Chris speaking with his brother about the challenges of what millions of American families were struggling with was of significant human interest.”

“As a result, we made an exception to a rule that we have had in place since 2013 which prevents Chris from interviewing and covering his brother, and that rule remains in place today. CNN has covered the news surrounding Governor Cuomo extensively,” the statement added.

The network didn’t respond to a question asking when Gov. Cuomo was again banned from his brother’s show.

Because they probably just re-instigated the ban at Fredo’s request. Can’t admit that to the public!

In even more related news, Fauci is also suddenly silent on his good buddy’s scandal:

Tuesday, White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci declined to comment on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) mishandling of the coronavirus in his state. Cuomo has caught flack from both Democrats and Republicans for his executive order to move patients sick with COVID-19 to nursing homes — putting them close to those more vulnerable to the virus’ effects — and the ensuing cover-up.

“CNN Newsroom” host Jim Sciutto asked Fauci, “You’re a New Yorker yourself, though you don’t live there right now. Andrew Cuomo is coming under criticism now for the big move back to long-term care facilities in the midst of this crisis here. He’s argued that his state was following federal guidelines when he ordered those long-term care facilities to accept patients returning from hospitals. I wonder, can you clear that up. Was he actually following federal guidelines to do that?”

“You know, Jim, I can’t,” Fauci replied. “I mean, I’m sorry. I’m really — I’m honestly not trying to evade your question, but I’m not really sure of all the details of that, and I think if I make a statement, it probably could either be incorrect or taken out of context. So, I prefer not to comment on that.”

Janice Dean is 🔥🔥🔥. Love her.

Fauci and Fredo are 🤡🤡🤡.
