The month of March is over and we now know just how many apprehensions were made at the southern border for the entire month.
It has skyrocketed.
First, let me point out that the month of February was over 76k.
The month of January was just over 58k.
And now the month of March…
NY POST – The feds on Tuesday revealed that 103,492 asylum seekers and other undocumented immigrants were apprehended at the southern border in March — more than double the number last March and an increase of more than 26,000 from February.
Custom and Border Protection officials had predicted that the number would hit triple figures because of the huge surge of desperate Central American families seeking asylum in the US.
They also said the number could continue to rise as the weather warms and more people are willing to risk the perilous trek through Mexico.
That is insane. Over 103k apprehensions in one month, and yet the Democrats still refuse to call this a crisis?
You know I think I’ve got something that might convince them. Remember how Democrats love hockey stick charts? Well check this one out:
#CBP is currently experiencing an unprecedented and unsustainable situation at the Southwest border—a border security and humanitarian crisis. In March, CBP apprehended or deemed inadmissible 103,492 individuals along the SWB. https://t.co/ru9AsalgPb pic.twitter.com/mbmyAKO3yc
