The media wars continued today when the president bashed Carl Bernstein for the report that Michael Cohen was willing to tell Mueller that Trump knew about the Russian meeting and approved of it.

Now this is being framed as CNN lying about everything, but I’m not so sure. In the original story, they said they had sources, plural. If one of those sources, Lanny Davis, goes back on the story, that doesn’t necessarily destroy the story. BUT, if that IS the case, CNN hasn’t said it. And that makes it really shady.
Also, Lanny Davis could have agreed to that story because it was true at one time, but later came to be untrue if Cohen changed his mind. But again, he didn’t say that. He said he screwed up.
In any case, Trumpsters are very happy to bash CNN over it:
