A panel on CNN has finally come around and given the disrespect shown to Hope Hicks by both Nadler and his committee some well-deserved attention:
They not only pounce on Nadler for the disrespectful comments he made, calling her “Ms. Lewandowski”, but also for the committee members taking pictures of Hicks and having to be asked to stop.
They pointed out, and rightly so, that this completely undermined the hearing and the seriousness with which they said they were taking it.
Nadler has come out today and claimed he misspoke:
“I was asking a series of questions about Corey Lewandowski — so that was on my mind,” he told CNN. “People were whispering in my ear. Two different counsels talking to me, and I just screwed it up. There’s no reason to do that obviously.”
I don’t know that anyone believes him, as he did it three times! Once might be understandable and two times is pushing it. But three times and it no longer looks like a mistake.
Republicans called this a ‘stunt’ and from every vantage point it looks like that’s exactly what it was. When is Nadler going to apologize?
