Up to five devices have been found in a backpack in a waste basket in Elizabeth, New Jersey, according to Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage. No cell phones or electronic timing devices were found on or near the devices, according to the mayor. The devices were found near a train trestle and train service in the area has been impacted.
A suspicious package has been found in Elizabeth, New Jersey, according to Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage. Two men found the package in a waste basket and alerted police when they saw wires and a pipe, the mayor said. The package was detonated by law enforcement authorities and the FBI is on the scene.
Details are a little sketchy – there was a detonation that was first reported to be a controlled detonation but many are now saying it was accidental.
