I can’t believe Michael Steele was ever the RNC Chair. The man has been over at MSNBC for so long that he might as well be head of the DNC.
Just a few minutes ago Steele had the gall to say that Nancy Pelosi has all the leverage in this debate over the border wall and that Trump and McConnell don’t really have any.
He argues that Trump’s problem is that he has Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham in his ear telling him to fight. But says Trump is going to have to figure out what he’s willing to settle with from Nancy.
This is exactly what I predicted yesterday. Democrats have one House of congress, but Nancy has all the leverage? C’mon Steele, that’s absurd. Republicans have the White House and the Senate. That’s what you call leverage! Six years ago it was leverage for Obama and Democrats, but not Trump and Republicans?
Steele also says that Pelosi has no incentive to make a deal with wall funding. But these commentators in the media go on and on about the real human cost of the government shut down. So why isn’t this ‘human cost’ incentive for Pelosi? Why is it only incentive for Trump and McConnell to make a deal and settle with Nancy?
These people are ridiculous. They hate Trump and their hypocrisy is clear for all with eyes to see.
