Over the weekend we told you that Trump is already planning a 2024 run if his legal challenges fall flat. Well today Fox News says they’ve confirmed the earlier reporting from the Daily Beast:
President Trump has told advisors that he wants to run again in four years, and could potentially announce his bid before or even during Biden’s Inauguration on Jan. 20, according to Fox News’ chief White House correspondent John Roberts, who confirmed a report from The Daily Beast.
Trump has publicly challenged the election result and told reporters last week that he doesn’t “want to talk 2024 yet.”
Such an announcement, or even Trump’s flirtation with a third White House run, would put a damper on what was thought to be a wide-open battle for the GOP 2024 presidential nomination. And it could potentially freeze out early moves by other Republicans with national aspirations.
This report can’t be true. Because for months we’ve heard radical leftists and their media henchmen tell us that Trump will refuse to concede and the military will have to go in and drag him out of the White House. If Trump was truly as deranged as they say he is, why would he be secretly talking about a potential run in 2024?
And understand that Trump isn’t conceding the race yet. I’m sure he’s just making plans because he knows time is running out to win this uphill battle and, honestly, it’s an option of he doesn’t pull this out.
But if Biden does end up in the Oval Office, I agree with Fred T. It’d be awesome if he announced his 2024 bid during the inauguration and then spent the next four years campaigning against Biden. The GOP will need a leader and it is his for the taking…
