In this remarkable clip from last night on Fox News, Juan Williams gets high priests of the Trump cult Matt Schlapp and Laura Ingraham to admit that the politics of the socialist G20 protesters is closer to that of anti-trade Trump supporters.

And they really don’t seem to have a problem with it.
Funny how supposedly principled “free-trade” conservatives can completely betray their beliefs and values when there’s a payday at the end of a populist Trump tirade, right?
Ironically, Trump has actually backed down from a lot of his populist promises during the presidential campaign – which is why people like Ann Coulter are so angry at him. He’s not talking about slapping every country on Earth with protectionist tariffs like he was before.
And he actually caved on calling China a currency manipulator, and imposing tariffs on them too. Ostensibly, he did it because China was going to help with North Korea.
Why would I call China a currency manipulator when they are working with us on the North Korean problem? We will see what happens!

And yet, he’s admitted that little experiment didn’t work – so is he going to retract those favorable trade concessions from China?
While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. At least I know China tried!
