J.K. Rowling is cancelled. The Harry Potter writer/creator, herself a feminist woke-tivist, brought down the fury of the mob when she tweeted in support of woman who was fired for speaking that which is forbidden. And in offering her tweeted support, Rowling, too, became forbidden. As Frasier actress Bebe Neuwirth quickly discovered.
The forbidden thought that got all this started? Well that was way back in 2018, when tax expert Maya Forstater said on Twitter that feminists are “are tying themselves in knots to avoid saying the truth that men cannot change into women.”
What I am so surprised at is that smart people who I admire, who are absolutely pro-science in other areas, and champion human rights & womens rights are tying themselves in knots to avoid saying the truth that men cannot change into women (because that might hurt mens feelings)
— Maya Forstater (@MForstater) September 30, 2018
For that thought, expressed in that tweet and others, Forstater was sacked, as the Brits say.
Well Forstater pushed back, brought her case to court, and then lost that case. And that’s when J.K. Rowling tweeted about it.

But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real? #IStandWithMaya #ThisIsNotADrill— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 19, 2019
“But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real?”
Rowling’s tweet brought down the mob, who accused her of being a TERF, which apparently stands for Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist if you can believe that.
Anyway, this all went down on Thursday. But what a lot of people may have missed was the NEAR cancellation of Frasier actress and Broadway star Bebe Neuwirth, likewise a Radical Feminist, for the mere act of LIKING the Rowling tweet.
When people noticed the like and came down on her, Neuwirth quickly apologized–repeatedly, effusively, DESPERATELY apologized– begging the mob’s forgiveness and understanding and vowing not to think for herself in the future.
Her first set of apologies were by reply, but then she felt it necessary to make a public proclamation of her guilt and contrition.
I TOTALLY misunderstood someone’s tweet today, and “liked” it. It’s been explained to me that her comment was transphobic, and now I’m horrified that I “liked” it. I assure you I misread/misunderstood her intent. (I’ve of course “unliked” it.)Sorry!🙏🏻
— Bebe Neuwirth (@BebeNeuwirth) December 19, 2019
She repeatedly thanked members of the mob for their “understanding” of her failure to comply.
That was the one, yes. Glad I wasn’t the only one who was confused. Thank you for understanding!
— Bebe Neuwirth (@BebeNeuwirth) December 19, 2019
Thank you for understanding.🙏🏻
— Bebe Neuwirth (@BebeNeuwirth) December 19, 2019
This was the best one of that genre. Look how he details her errors for her, and how she thanks HIM for it.
Thank you so much for your kind words and understanding!🙏🏻
— Bebe Neuwirth (@BebeNeuwirth) December 20, 2019
She also promised never to think for herself in the future, in the guise of continuing her claim not to have understood.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who was confused by it. I’m not going to touch that heart button if I have any confusion! Ever!

“I’m not going to touch that heart button if I have any confusion! Ever!”
Just to re-outline this. A woman said that the male and female sexes are actual things, and she was fired for it. Feminist J.K. Rowling, previously beloved of the left, was cancelled for thinking and saying it’s unfair. And Bebe Neuwirth was on the verge of similar cancellation simply for clicking the ‘like’ on the simple Tweet from Rowling about a woman being fired a year ago for saying that gender isn’t a myth.
That’s where society is today, y’all. Men and women alike should be VERY afraid of what tomorrow holds. Because this stuff we have today? It’s untenable. And the dam is gonna break really, really, really soon.

No wonder @BebeNeuwirth was terrified into submission. The NYT is coming for the heretics, now. https://t.co/a1qUtnIVTr
