I’m always a little antsy about Republicans going on Meet the Press, as we’ve seen several make big missteps like Newt Gingrich. And today was Herman Cain’s turn to sit in the so called hot seat. But as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. Herman Cain did a great job answering questions directly and without fear, even on such issues as abortion and differentiating himself from the president based on their experiences.
Also, the ‘electric border fence that could kill people’ question was posed to him, as the NY Times reported yesterday that Cain said that was his plan on stopping illegal immigration. Cain reiterated once again that this was indeed a joke, and that America needs to learn how to take a joke.
Here’s the full interview:
BONUS: Herman Cain singing the “Impossibly Dream”. (I mistakenly didn’t add this to a post yesterday)
