Full Speech: Benjamin Netanyahu speech to United Nations

Netanyahu spoke for 40 minutes before the UN today in what was a great speech. He said it’s time to stop negotiating about negotiations and toward the end of the speech he even calls on President Abbas to meet with him while he’s at the UN since they are in the same building, and work towards peace:

He will also be on Greta tonight.

Yes, the settlements the Pallies are referring to are: Tel Aviv, Haifa, etc..etc…

Pretty transparent what the Pallies are looking for…

The UN is a joke. I can’t figure out for the life of me why we are involved with this. By we I mean the US, Isreal, England and the others I can’t think of. Tear the place down and then move that bus!!

I would love to have this great leader as my president! He is the reason common sense rules all conversations. All I can say is that he is awesome! The people of Israel are in good hands. God bless the nation of Israel and its wonderful brave people.

Good speech. The part I found most interesting was when Bibi was talking about the seal ring he had in his office that was found in Jerusalem from King Hezekiah’s reign, and the name on it was Netanyahu.

I love this man. He speaks the truth without fear. I heard on Beck that our new saying needs to be “The USA out of the UN and the UN out of the USA.” We need some bumper stickers with this on them. The UN is a disgraceful organization.

He should run for our president. But wait. One has to be a natural born citizen to run for POTUS. We would never stand for someone who wasn’t. For those that don’t get it, sorry for you. Now, to reality. Nice speech, Mr. Netanyahu. Full of truth. Full of meaning. Full of thoughts of positive possibility. The applause was well-deserved. But about that reality; ain’t never gonna happen because the Palestinians don’t want it to happen. You, Mr. Netanyahu, are a true statesman. Unfortunately, those that you appeal to are scum murderers who will do all they can to destroy Israel. Even if an agreement is reached, it will mean nothing to those that are alien to peace. They will not rest until Israel is vanished, no matter what they agree to, no matter what they promise, no matter what they give their word to. They are dishonorable criminals that… Read more »

The thing I don’t understand about the whole Arab/israeli division is they are both children of Abraham and therefore share in God’s blessings. Yes, the Jewish people were from the chosen lineage of Isaac, but Ishmael’s lineage was also blessed.

Genesis 17:18-20, “And Abraham said to God, “If only Ishmael might live under your blessing! Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.”

Joshua Saunders

Its not so much that they have forgotten, I believe that in combination of verse 21 with that verse it means that Isaac and Ishmael’s decendants would be powerful, but always against each other. When combined with 12 rulers with 12 Imams in the koran and the language describing the 12th Imam and the anti-christ in each it lays it out that they will be at war until the end of time.

did you ever hear that Iranian broadcast (or read the transcripts) of the broadcast talking about the appearance of the imam mahdi? I did a blog post about it years ago, and it gave me shivers when I read the whole thing. The 12th Imam and Antichrist. They are one in the same.

Goldni007

Because in verse 21 God clearly states His covenant is with Isaac, not Ishmael.

It’s also interesting that in Genesis 16:12 GWT an angel sent from God told Hagar that her son “…will be as free and wild as an untamed donkey. He will fight with everyone, and everyone will fight with him. He will have conflicts with all his relatives.”

Man that is one thing I love about the Holy Bible. Even when it was not trying to really portend anything in particular (just telling a history story), it still eerily predicts events that are now taking place.

Wow, thanks for posting this which I have absolutely missed. 12 rulers? 12 Imams! A great nation doomed for all of eternity to be at war with its brother. This cements even further into the 12th Imam being the anti-christ.

Conservative_Hippie

This position has been building in power over the last decade or so. I remember being taught as a child that the anti-christ would be from the revived roman empire. I’m starting to change my belief to what you stated. Walid Shoebat believes this postion and I’m inclined to agree with him.

Joshua Saunders

I had an inclination based on revelations/the koran that I believed this before you brought this to my attention, as much as I’ve read genesis its a little embarrassing that I didn’t know this one. Especially back when I was researching end times stuff pretty thoroughly, but never thought to look to abraham’s early conversations for it. If you look at how the Anti-Christ is portrayed in Revelations, and how the 12th Imam is described in the Koran they are eerily similar. Combining with the effort to create Chrislam to replace both Christianity and Islam to “attempt to create world peace” as that movement states. It all points to it. Wars, rumors of wars, peace deals with Israel guaranteed by the west. Its all quite…quite.

It has been glamorized extensively. Sorry. Besides the lovely bubbles and feathers and new style of music there was a lot of desperation and misery. After the initial thrust of a fairly pure flower child movement, there came the hard core drugs and bad actors within a few short months. I got out. It was fun while it lasted but I suggest do not be seduced.

It’s funny you talk about that. I used to love everything about that time, because I was too little to remember it. Loved the music and style of clothes etc., but when I grew up and got sense in my head, I started hearing the words in some of those songs, and all I could picture anymore were the bill ayers types, the manson family and the disrespect the guys coming back from Vietnam got. I still like some of what came out of that era, but for the most part- I hate seeing it repeated by those same who once chanted “never trust the govment man… never trust anyone over 30.”

In one of our home school co ops last year, I taught the kids the whole Book of Esther. It’s one of my favorite stories- and the kids, even those who already knew it, loved it as well. We did it on the day of Purim, so we read it the way Jewish folks read it to their kids, had noise makers and boo’d every time Hamman was mentioned, and we made cookies called Hamman’s Ears. It was so special. I agree Benjamin Netanyahu could be for such a time as Esther was. Thanks C_Hippie, for reminding me of that!

G*d Bless you Bibi, Sir! I love how he points out what he called the “theater of the absurd” which is the UN. This nation, this man has been treated evily and dispicably by so many for so long. Shoot, even I read today that Slick Willie is saying the peace process has stalled because of Netanyahu! I could go on and on as I always do, but I won’t. Thank you Sir,for being so gracious in the face of so many enemies. You are the epitome of David, in Psalm 23 when he says, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. I am sure you are one of those people who reacts so ardently when Israel does anything to defend itself but somehow justifies Suicide bombers Blowing up pizzerias and buses full of innocent Israelis or dancing around the streets on September eleventh when 3,000 innocent Americans were slaughtered. Text books in Palestinian schools teach kindergarteners to hate Jews, while Israel gives Arabs the right to be represented in parliament, and access to the former holiest site in Judaism, the temple mount. So which is the ‘society of hatred’?

PS about seventy five percent of Arabs living in Israel say they’d rather live there than any Arab state.

The most frightening thing about that speech is the notion that Netanyahu believed what he said. I don’t follow Israel close enough to know if he’s a hard liner or not. I couldn’t tell if he really meant everything he said or if it was diplomatic bullshit.

Muslims will never allow a Jewish state. It’s not possible. Netanyahu must know that. But if he does, was the withdrawal from Gaza to prove they won’t? OK, he proved it. So why is he still giving speeches about peace when he knows it will never happen?

Maybe he’s stalling until after Obama is out of office? Israel needs us to have their back and he knows we don’t as long as Obama is president. I hope that’s what he was doing in that speech.

American Duckie

Israel is desperate for peace. They will do anything to achieve it, even if it seems unbelieveable to them- they sincerily believe it can happen because of the fact they want it so badly.

Thanks Scoop – was going to ask if you had access to this. Heard the first 10 minutes on the radio on the way home from work – but as it was on the BBC and as President Netanyahu was telling truths about the ME situation they just had to cut the speech short.

joeldic@gmail.com

Are you serious? BBC was playing it, and they just stopped in the middle?

MarkD
Member
MarkD

Yeah, course. You seem surprised. The BBC is so utterly biased to the left it’s laughable. Some years back, under constant criticism for biased Middle East reporting the BBC held an internal review examining their Israel-Palestine reporting. They didn’t like the result of that review, declined to publish it and then fought (using the publics money of course) against the requirement to publish it in the courts. The Balen report still has not been published – now bearing in mind this was an internal review set up to disprove bias, the fact the results have not been published speaks volumes.

I wonder if Soros owns part of the BBC by now. He seems to have his evil hand in so many news outlets right now. Oh well, if not him, then there are plenty of anti-American leftists who can’t stand to let someone like Bibi (is there anyone like him?) speak.

Yeah, some words have to be learned by rote because we Americans adopt so many from other languages and some are just exceptions to the rules. See if you can get ahold of a Dictionary of Word Origins by John Ayto, it traces the history of how many common words have come into our everyday language and is fun too.
