GASLIGHTING: Dems and CNN’s Jim Acosta LIE about Pledge at DNC to try to get Trump. Yes, under God WAS omitted!

President Trump tweeted on Saturday that the Democrats took the word GOD out of the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democrat National Convention. The media fell all over themselves to pretend to be offended and claim that Trump lied.

Jim Acosta of CNN left no wiggle room when he dramatically retweeted the President, saying “This is false” as a definitive statement. But it wasn’t false at all. Even Snopes knows.

Here are Trump’s tweet and Acosta’s tweet.

There are hundreds of such responses, but here are just a few. These are all supposed journalists.

Here’s one of the best.

But, again, it’s not a lie.

That’s right from the DNC live stream. That is literally a video showing that “The Democrats took the word GOD out of the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democrat National Convention.” Those are Democrats at the convention doing that.

But not the ONLY Democrats.

Here’s what Snopes said, in rating Trump’s tweet “mostly false.”

What’s True
The phrase “under God” was omitted from at least two recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance at individual caucus meetings during the DNC in 2020.

What’s False
The DNC did not issue any guidelines forbidding the use of the phrase. On the national stage, the phrase “under God” was used during the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of each night of the 2020 DNC.

So… true. The phrase was omitted from recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance at the DNC convention. That’s what it says. Cramming the number of times in there is just an attempt to obfuscate. What they determined was that the phrase “Under God” WAS OMITTED FROM THE PLEDGE AT THE DNC. Just as Trump said.

Alex Griswold elaborated and is being crucified for it.

Yep.

You can give Snopes or anyone else you want some latitude to say “what he meant” if you want. But no such luck for Jim Acosta or Brian Karem or especially Brian Butteface. They said what Trump claimed was false, and it literally and factually was not false. That makes THEM the liars.

Maybe Twitter should ban THEIR tweets.

UPDATE: Another video of the the words Under God being deliberately edited from the Pledge.
