Gavin Newsom selects a despicable woman to replace Dianne Feinstein

Gavin Newsom has already chosen the successor to Dianne Feinstein and it turns out she’s a resident of the state of Maryland. She only lived in California for close to a decade and hasn’t lived in the state for several years, at least.

She’s also a lesbian who’s been leading EMILY’s List since 2021, a pro-abortion group who simply raises money to support Democrat candidates who support abortion with no restrictions.

Laphonza Romanique Butler, California’s newest senator-designate, only spent about a decade in total living in the state. Born and raised in Mississippi, Butler moved to California in 2009 as a labor organizer, eventually leading the state’s Service Employees International Union, its largest labor union. Butler left the SEIU in 2018 for a political consulting firm and to boost Kamala Harris’s bid for the White House and served one year as an executive at Airbnb. Butler decamped California to become the president of the pro-abortion political organization known as EMILY’s List in 2021 and has been listing her address as Silver Spring, Maryland, ever since.

After Butler was chosen by Newsom, she suddenly removed her resident of “Maryland” from her X/Twitter account.

Laphonza Butler has apparently removed her “Maryland” residence from her X account as well as her professional biography after Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) appointed her to the U.S. Senate seat in California, which was vacated on September 29 upon the death of Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

After news broke of her appointment, reporter Elex Michaelson captured a screenshot of her X bio, which had Maryland as her location as recently as Sunday:

 
However, by Monday morning, Maryland was missing from her bio:

 
Reporter Matthew Foldi noted that Laphonza was registered to vote in Maryland as of last year:

 
Even more recent was a Federal Election Commission record showing her residence in Maryland just 31 days ago:

According to the website of the pro-abortion EMILYs List organization, where Butler is president, she also served as the president of the biggest union in California, SEIU Local 2015. Additionally, she served as its international vice president and president of the SEIU California State Council. Her bio indicates that she grew up in Magnolia, Mississippi.

According to the Washington Examiner, on Sunday night, the bio on the website said, “She lives in Maryland with her partner Neneki Lee and their daughter Nylah,” but by Monday morning, that line was removed.

Butler served as a senior adviser to Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, according to the bio.

Apparently what Newsom is doing is legal. But I’m not sure California residents will be happy to be represented from someone who lives in Maryland.
