General Mattis makes amazing statement on Assad’s use of chemical weapons

As you know, I wrote an article the other day looking at circumstantial evidence that suggested that Assad may not have actually used chemical weapons against his own people, that he could have been framed by the rebels.

While the US hasn’t shown us the evidence they have, General Mattis came out and made an amazing statement today on it:

For someone of the stature and reputation of General Mattis to say that he personally reviewed the intelligence and that he’s absolutely convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that Assad not only committed the attack with chemical weapons but also ordered it, well that’s just hard not to believe. He’s putting everything on the line with a statement like that.

Again I don’t know what happened, but I find it hard to disbelieve someone like Mattis when he makes such a forceful statement. Or maybe I’m just gullible.

He also explains generally in the statement how the attack came about and issued a very stern warning to Assad at the end.
