In March we told you how the Catholic Church officially banned the blessing of homosexual marriages by Priests and Bishops, saying that God “does not and cannot bless sin.” It was a good statement that clearly drew a line in the sand on the issue.
Well now there are reportedly many Catholic priests in Germany who are crossing that line in open defiance of the Holy See:
AP – Germany’s powerful Catholic progressives are openly defying a recent Holy See pronouncement that priests cannot bless same-sex unions by offering such blessings at services in about 100 different churches all over the country this week.
The blessings at open worship services are the latest pushback from German Catholics against a document released in March by the Vatican’s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which said Catholic clergy cannot bless same-sex unions because God “cannot bless sin.”
The document pleased conservatives and disheartened advocates for LGBTQ Catholics around the globe. But the response has been particularly acute in Germany, where the German church has been at the forefront of opening discussion on hot-button issues such as the church’s teaching on homosexuality as part of a formal process of debate and reform.
The dozens of church services celebrating blessings of gay unions are the latest escalation in tensions between conservatives and progressives that have already sparked alarm, primarily from the right, that part of the German church might be heading into schism.
This is absolutely abhorrent and is a cancer in the Church – it must lead to decisive action by the Vatican. The Catholic Church simply cannot allow such behavior by its clergy, especially in regards to such willful vile impurity. The Vatican drew a line in the sand and now they must enforce it. After all, this isn’t just about corrupting the sacrament of marriage, but about corrupting all the other sacraments too.
I don’t know how the church will handle this, but the Vatican is full of its own corruption and I’m not sure if they will do anything at all. I hope I’m wrong, but if they do nothing, then you can expect far more of this homosexual infiltration into the church and that would be horrific. And no doubt a grave sin in the eyes of God. One of the most detestable sins to God is that of impurity. Look no further than Sodom and Gomorrah for evidence of that.
In 2019, Pope emeritus Benedict XVI wrote extensively about the homosexual and pedophilia scandal that plagued the Church in the past and suggested a lot of this began in Germany. So I guess it should be of no surprise that Germany is at the forefront of this homosexual schism that the Church now faces.
We’ve seen this for years corrupting some protestant denominations, such as Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Methodists and others. I had hoped we wouldn’t see such in the Catholic Church, but it appears that day is here. I think we are clearly in the falling away and it appears homosexuality will be the dividing line between Churches who stick with God and those who don’t.
