Former CIA guy Phil Mudd absolutely melts down at the accusation from Paris Dennard that he was making money from his security clearance.

I can see why Mudd would get upset, but they both sound like they’re grandstanding here. Dennard is pretending that the issue he brings up about cashing in on secret clearance has nothing to do with Trump just getting angry at people criticizing him in the press, while Mudd is denying even the possibility that someone might make money from their clearance. Any time you take an argument personally but don’t address the substance of the argument, it’s a tip off that you don’t have a very good argument. On the other hand, Dennard will literally say anything to defend Trump. So, it’s a wash. But entertaining! Which is basically all we can hope for from political debate these days. #MAGA!!!
