Biden’s border czar Roberta Jacobson is getting the heck out of Dodge. Her 100 day tenure overseeing the collapse of American territorial sovereignty is up at the end of the month, and with kids still in cages and cells the feds knocking on foster parent doors from California to Iowa, Roberta is honoring the age-old Democrat tradition of running for the hills.
When the going gets tough, Biden picks get packing.
Her claim that it was always meant to be only a 100 day gig doesn’t lessen the impact, not even at the New York Times, which wrote that “The timing of her departure is nonetheless striking, coming in the middle of the administration’s efforts to reduce the flow of immigration from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.”
True. But also: raaacist!!!!!
Right Isn’t that he rule? Maybe we can’t call covid the Wuhan virus but can we call that rule the Wuhan Rule? Because by the Wuhan Rule the NYT just did a racism.
Anyway, while Roberta’s prescience in planning an escape hatch in advance is a terrific commentary on the faith people have in Biden’s leadership, it doesn’t diminish the significant vote of no confidence in her bailout. And her limp “I leave optimistically, The policy direction is so clearly right for our country” statement does even less to instill any confidence in what anyone can plainly see is a total border disaster underway.
Of course she’s out. And with Kamala’s on-again, off-again role as overseer of doing literally nothing to stop the crisis, expect other rats to desert the sinking ship soon enough.
