Gillette launches WOKEST new ad yet: A proud dad teaching his no-longer-daughter how to shave ‘his’ beard

Gillette razors is in the hot race for wokest thing ever. I’m sure you remember their past entries, the overweight swimmer ad and the “boys are bad and should stop” ad.

Well part three of this ignominious trilogy is the solution for two, I guess. Boys are bad, boys should stop being boys, and girls are good. So it stands to reason, apparently, that it should be girls who are the boys.

And here we are.

“I went into my transition just wanting to be happy. I’m glad I’m at the point where I’m able to shave.”

I’m guessing that people who can say that number in the dozens to hundreds. Even if you exaggerate to the thousands, that ain’t exactly a hot new market. So if they’re not advertising to a big, untapped market …who are they making the ad for?

Obviously y’all already know the answer. It’s to the woke brigades from woketown, riding their wokercycles and scooping up triggers.

It doesn’t matter if it results in sales. Corporate America has two audiences now. One is the people who buy and use their products, and the other are the loudmouth, whiney, nutty, Hollywood-ish, foot-stomping, sign-waving, boycott-organizing liberal mobs of wokety wokeness.

And this ad, obviously, is for them.

I hope that kid has a great life. I hope that for every kid who is somehow allowed to reject their body and identity while too young to even bre familiar with it. But, you know, the odds aren’t great.

  1. Best quote on the interwebs about so-called “transgenders”:

Ironic how the transgenders community wants us to accept them for who they are but yet they couldn’t even accept themselves for who they were.

  2. Just switched to Dollar Shave Club. Inferior product to Gillette, but I don’t pay to have genitalia shook in my face.

    1. I switched to Bic. I’d rather pay the French and the Greeks than send one dime to the liberal progressives in Massachusetts. Down with Gillette.

  3. Goodbye Gillette. I can’t buy your excellent blades anymore if you’re really that gross and insane. Supporting mental disease like this is beyond the pale. Now I no longer support you.

  4. and you watch- when these mentally ill people who ‘transition’ by using massive amounts of hormones eventually get cancer from the hormones, or some debilitating disease- they will sue the doctors who prescribed them the drugs-

  5. We have to start boycotting companies like this. I know a lot of you don’t believe in boycotts, but I don’t see any other way of stopping this destructive nonsense.

    1. @laphil I don’t know about organized boycotts but I do know that generally speaking I personally avoid patronizing products, companies, or persons (i.e. actors) that disgust me. It’s why I haven’t set foot in a Target store in a few years, why I will never again see a Robert DeNiro film, and why Gillette will never again get a dime of my money.

  6. Television, to rephrase an old dead smart guy, is the devil’s playground. Far beyond a mere wasteland it is now humanity’s sewer and spiritual plague. And like Madusa’s face shall inevitably effect those who gaze.

  7. So I guess their new slogan should be “The best a trans can get”. At what point in their CEO meetings did it make sense to put identity politics before profits? They obviously didn’t learn anything from their last “woke” commercial. I specifically bought a different brand of razor because of that. We live in a messed/confused/sick culture.

  8. I find parents like this dad, who are so ok with their child becoming trans, to be creepy. This girl is desperately trying to please this guy by trying to be the son he probably never had. If this ad is even for real.

  9. I think doing this should be illegal…period. They should have to brand themselves as TRANS because I never would have known this dude was actually a girl. It’s scary. If you’re on the dating scene you’ll have to start asking “did you used to be a man?”

I’m not familiar with what all goes along with a transition, but I didn’t know it could change your voice as well. Testosterone deepens your voice evidently. Muscles for sure, but vocal chords?

    1. Make it illegal? Hell, it’s supported and encouraged. In Canada, if you’re a parent that wants help & counseling for your child with gender dysphoria then your kid can be taken away. Illegal is using logic up there. Coming soon to a child protective services near you.

      1. @squirrelly Well, what goes on up there always makes it’s way down here. Not that Canada is to blame. They just get there first on some things. It’s probably the other way around on some things. Liberal tactics and practices travel fast.

      1. @watchman Lol, I don’t even watch the male body builders because I think it’s way way way over the top to do that to your body. Being fit and strong is great, but not to the point it looks disgusting. Anyway, I’ll take your word for it because I’m not about to watch female body builders.

      1. @atomicsentinel Literally changing from one sex to another. I get it…it’s their bodies, but IMO it’s a huge degradation of society. Even though I don’t agree with homosexuality I can’t change the way they feel so I can live with that. At least we know what their sex is. I think it’s a scary time when you ask someone out on a date and you can’t even be for sure they’re the opposite sex as opposed to just fooling you into thinking they are.

        1. Well they literally can’t do that. And I can’t envision a legal precedent to stop people from playing dress-up, let alone making it a crime.

Maybe you meant that we shouldn’t legally allow this, meaning that you can play dress up all you want but the State ain’t going to recognize it on its legal docs. I agree with that.

But, y’know, there’s a lot of “huge degradation of society” things that are legal, and it would be wrong to criminalize. Voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, for example. A free society is free to degrade itself into collapse. That’s one of the hard parts about freedom. Standing back and letting people misuse it, out of respect for that freedom, if nothing else.

        2. @kong1967

There was a movie 25 years or so ago called The Crying Game. It was a shocker. Didn’t realize what it was about until the end.

  10. Absolutely disgusting. The Black community is absorbing values foreign to it, from other cultures, that are ultimately, and intentionally, destructive.

    1. The black community doesn’t like this. Putting blacks in the ad to be extra woke, checking off 2 minority groups simultaneously.

  11. This is New Level insanity… Please, American Men, drive this PATHEETIC company out of business.

    1. Shout out to American women, too. Their female products cost more than their men’s products.

  12. I literally watched that ad with a scrunched up face and my mouth agape.
    That was really. Eff’ed. Up.

  13. I’ve been using Gillette razors for 40+ years. Why did they go and pee in my Cheerios?
Their marketing director should be fired.

    1. You should really try Dollar Shave Club. Their best razors are almost half the price of a 5 pack of Gillette.

    2. They must have approved this campaign. They want it. Whoever is in charge now wants to upend human normality.

    1. Too funny! Thanks for sharing I couldn’t actually watch the ad posted here because I don’t Facebook and since that had the ad with hilarious commentary, now I’ve seen it.

  14. Where’s woke mom to teach him how to shave his vag? Or… do they all just pretend that’s not there?

    1. @tjk
I make my own Fabreeze with my fave fabric softener, rubbing alcohol, and water poured into a spray bottle. Shake the bottle to mix and spray away!!!
      😀

    2. Palmolive is a good alternative. I use Arm and Hammer laundry pods to wash clothes, and Snuggle fabric softener.

        1. Well, feel free to add snips and snails and puppy dog tails – but you’ll have PETA up your ass about it.

  15. I can’t boycott Gillette because I haven’t bought any of their products in 4 or 5 years. It’s pretty stupid of them to pander to a fraction of a fraction of the population especially when they’re probably already losing their arse to companies like Dollar Shave Club who aren’t overpriced and deliver what we need to our mailbox.

    1. They have a different agenda from profit. They can use PG’s vast wealth to bring about a leftist utopia and destroying this business is a feature.

      1. I know they’re owned by another, larger company. It’s very hard to avoid buying ALL of their products, of course. This crap is so ridiculous.

  16. Good Lord, this is NEW LEVEL insanity… Gillette has released an ad featuring a GIRL, who claims that she’s MALE, being taught by her dad to “shave”… What is this? It’s NUTSO… It’s Orwellian… Gillette is a craven, anti-science, lie-pushing company that NO person in his or her right mind should EVER use for any reason… It’s time for Americans to drive INSANITY from the marketplace, and to put companies with a political agenda OUT OF BUSINESS.

      1. Owned by Unilever, which has ties t gay marriage and planned parenthood. Same for Harry’s.

Shick is the only neutral option.

  17. What moron needs “daddy” to teach himself how to shave? Its pretty simple: put shaving cream on and shave. Duh!

  18. According to the wikipedia page (yes, it’s wikipedia), Gillete is owned by Proctor & Gamble.

Braun and Oral-B ard subsidiaries under Gillette.

That’s a massive pile of products to stop buying, but I don’t want them to have any money of mine.

    1. @k-bob 1 1/2 years ago I heard an ad on Ben Shapiro’s podcast for the Quip electric toothbrush. I had been using Oral-B’s for many years and due for a replacement anyway, and this one looked intriguing and was inexpensive so I gave it a try. I LOVE IT!!!! You order it online at getquip.com.

      https://www.getquip.com/

      I will NEVER go back.

    2. @k-bob From what I’ve heard before, Protest and Grumble is a woke company. Maybe the persistent rumors of them being in league with the devil are true.

  19. The Gillette track 5, because you’ll buy anything! (This of course includes bulky $6 per cartridge razors) Honk!

      1. schick rips my face to shreds unfortunately- gotta find a good alternative to gillette- then send gillette a note saying “Well done- You’ve driven me off buying your product with your woke ads- enjoy the ensuing boycott by people that still hold to moral values”

    1. We need an organized group- like a tea party on steroids, who can organize nationwide boycotts of companies like htis so that when the people boycott en mass- it has a real tangible effect- individual boycotts do nothing- but get a few hundred 1000 people boycotting, or a few million even, and it’s a different ballgame

  20. Gillette must be run by morons these days. Perhaps the older board members have died off and younger, more ignorant members have taken over the asylum. It sure seems that way. How absolutely tone deaf can they be? I wouldn’t buy a Gillette product now if they were giving them away. @@

  21. A few questions.
    1. Does Gillette really believe tapping into a very low percentage degenerate market will bring a gold mine of riches?
    2. Is it really Gillette’s intention to reject over 50% of it’s customer base?
    3. I can’t be the only male that didn’t need a personal trainer to coach me in the art of shaving, can I?

    1. They don’t believe it, but they don’t care because ideology trumps all. And if they take down another “stinking capitalist pig” company so much the better.

  22. What moron needs “daddy” to teach himself how to shave? Its pretty simple: put shaving cream on and shave. Duh!

When will these companies realize that instead of focusing in on the 1 or 2%?

    1. Gillette is a trillion dollar company which sells its products worldwide. You don’t think they worked the numbers before releasing ads like this? They have. Losing a few thousand Trumpelina’s is not going to affect their bottom line one tiny bit.

Yes and doing the ad isn’t going to add to the bottom line, either. Sort of like it says in the post above.

  30. 2nd Vote recommends the parent company of Schick, Edgewell Personal Care. I would also recommend Barbasol. I think they hit Barbasol a little hard because of one organization in their roster of supported orgs.

    2nd Vote’s report.

Interestingly, Edgewell recently purchased Harry’s, a liberal company. Will Edgewell change Harry’s? Will 2nd Vote ding Edgewell if Harry’s doesn’t?

    1. When Harry’s starts to become all about pushing an agenda instead of their product, we’ll move on

  31. Well after neigh on 40 years of using Gillette razors without really thinking about it, I finished my last Gillette razor last week. I went to Walmart and bought some Harry’s. They are fine so far. I will probably stop thinking about that brand too… and just keep buying them.
    I guess I am not racist… oops. … I mean woke.

  32. I’ve purchased my last Gillette razor. Now I have to decide if I’m going with Harry’s or Dollar Shave Club.

  34. Their quality has deteriorated while pricing is up. I’ve used the Mach 3 for decades but these last few times the blades are horrible. I was planning on switching to Harry’s after I finish my set. Thanks for making me feel better about my decision.

    1. And it doesn’t stop them from suiciding either. Too many ignorant people think that if we don’t allow them to transition that they will commit suicide but tragically the rates actually go up AFTER they transition. These poor mentally ill souls find out after they’ve mutilated themselves and gotten all kinds of “support” that the mental and spiritual pain they were experiencing is not going away because gender identity had nothing to do with what was really wrong with them. Doctors are now frightening parents with the specter of suicide to force them to allow their kids to transition. So the tragedy is doubly compounded.

  49. Not a man but a woman who suffers from gender dysphoria. And is being enabled by lunatics and corrupt doctors.

  51. This is the long march through the institutions, now including business. Gillette ( I guess it’s Proctor and Gamble?) has been taken over by left-wing activists whose goal is not to make money but to indoctrinate. They are sidestepping lobbying and election laws by using the vast corporate wealth they control. There is no way this will add to their revenue, they know it, and they don’t care because they have a different agenda.

Every sensible person should stop buying their product and stop investing in their company. This is not boycotting a company who wants to make a profit but just happens to have a point of view. Taking this with the other ads, there is only one conclusion to draw: Gillette is part of the army arrayed to take down our society.

  52. I find parents like this dad, who are so ok with their child becoming trans, to be creepy. This girl is desperately trying to please this guy by trying to be the son he probably never had. If this ad is even for real.

It shouldn’t be legal for doctors to practice what I consider to be mutilation or playing God. It should most definitely be illegal for parents to do this to their minor children.

I’m not talking about making degrading types of behavior illegal.

            1. It’s not just dress-up to inject yourself with medications that alter your body or to get surgical procedures that change your sex.

              Fine. Fancy dress up.

It shouldn’t be legal for doctors to practice what I consider to be mutilation or playing God.

So, I take it then you’re 100% against cosmetic surgery then? Everything from rhinoplasty to taking a slice of ass to cover a facial burn? Ooh, or hey, here’s a good one – how about the reconstruction of those poor girls who got FGM’d by their horrible cultures? Should be illegal?

              1. @atomicsentinel There’s a difference in trying to enhance your appearance to look better than doing wholesale changes of sex. A sex change doesn’t just impact the person doing it to themselves. People mingle and I think it’s sickening that it’s very possible that a man can kiss another guy believing it’s a woman. I saw a case of a man that married a woman and was married for a long time and he NEVER EVEN KNEW SHE USED TO BE A MAN! Trust me, I have no idea how he managed that but it was a documentary.

I wouldn’t mind if they banned major plastic surgery. Have you seen how some of the people get totally destroyed by it? It’s one thing to give a woman who has had her breasts removed a new set of breasts and quite another to do this to someone…..

                https://www.neopress.in/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/surgery.jpg

                1. I knew some undercover officers who worked the streets who never knew what they had.

                2. @atomicsentinel LOL! I was confused by “work the streets” because the only way I could see that as being plausible is if they were setting up a sting on the streets and they never have sex with the “johns”.

The only way his comment makes sense is if the undercover officers DID have sex with the johns (“… never knew what they had”). No way.

                3. ..well some cities in certain areas of their city conduct street operation to slow down or eliminate prostitution.Lets say Sunset Bl. has a problem.Men and Women working the Streets.Occasionally with what you thought was a female Prostitute when you return to the station turns out to be a Male.Thats all..

                4. @bigsir74 Ok, I got you now. I took “….never knew what they had” to mean sex. It appears you meant “had in custody”. We’re square.

I will never move to a place like that.

                5. There’s a difference in trying to enhance your appearance to look better than doing wholesale changes of sex.

Is there? It’s all just taking a scalpel to the marble and redefining it in our own image.

People mingle and I think it’s sickening that it’s very possible that a man can kiss another guy believing it’s a woman.

Yea, that’s f-ed up. But can we really criminalize such a thing?

I wouldn’t mind if they banned major plastic surgery.

“They” being the government, right? You want to give them more power?

It’s one thing to give a woman who has had her breasts removed a new set of breasts and quite another to do this to someone…..

That’s what tort lawsuits are for.

                6. @atomicsentinel I don’t know, but if I was dating someone and had intimate touching going on before I found out it used to be a man there would probably be one less man/woman in this world. / exaggeration

It’s pretty bad when you have to grab someone’s crotch to identify their sex before you dare kiss them. That may not even be enough. You might have to hire a private investigator to avoid scarring yourself for life.

One reason why I will never move to San Francisco.

                7. @atomicsentinel Yeah, that’s why I said you might need a private…or “privates”….investigator to find out what sex they truly are.

I don’t even want to think what this country is going to be like in twenty years.

                8. @atomicsentinel Only if they turned it into a movie. I used to read a lot of books but I lost my patience for that years ago. About the only thing I read any more are news articles or reports that don’t take so long to read.

                9. I think actually they DID make it a film.

But you never quite get the precision and nuance there, that you get from the written word.

                10. But seriously, go read/watch it. It’s one of those musts in life if you’re really going to understand things.

                11. @atomicsentinel I definitely won’t read the book, but the trailer for the 2009 film “Dorian Gray” looks like it might be pretty good. Hopefully you aren’t talking about the 1945 version. That’s the one that’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray” but they’re both based on the same novel.

            2. You’re right, but that went out the window ages ago. Most people accept the mutilation of healthy sexual organs (vasectomies and tubal ligation) as “medical care.” The principle was conceded long ago.

              1. @thomas-aquinas I don’t mind those types of surgical procedures. Technically they can be considered mutilation and playing God but IMO they are legitimate surgeries. I would rather someone do that than have seven abortions.

        2. @kong1967

There was a movie 25 years or so ago called The Crying Game. It was a shocker. Didn’t realize what it was about until the end.

            1. You got the impression that it was about the IRA and England, deeper into the movie it turned out to be about tranny’s. Shocker back in 1992.

  55. I’ve been using Gillette razors for 40+ years. Why did they go and pee in my Cheerios?
Their marketing director should be fired.

    1. They must have approved this campaign. They want it. Whoever is in charge now wants to upend human normality.

    2. You should really try Dollar Shave Club. Their best razors are almost half the price of a 5 pack of Gillette.

        1. DSC sells the blades. The handle is included in the first order. Pack of 4 instead of 5. I’m basing pricing on the Gillette Venus razors- women’s razors get a premium price (sorryx if I confused the 2). However, we used to buy the 5 pack of blades for the husband, and yes, per blade the $9 4-pack from DSC is a much better price, and I know they last longer for me. Also not paying a tax on them. Now I feel like a salesman. 😀

        1. Well, feel free to add snips and snails and puppy dog tails – but you’ll have PETA up your ass about it.

  56. Absolutely disgusting. The Black community is absorbing values foreign to it, from other cultures, that are ultimately, and intentionally, destructive.

    1. The black community doesn’t like this. Putting blacks in the ad to be extra woke, checking off 2 minority groups simultaneously.

  57. I literally watched that ad with a scrunched up face and my mouth agape.
    That was really. Eff’ed. Up.

  58. Where’s woke mom to teach him how to shave his vag? Or… do they all just pretend that’s not there?

  60. Goodbye Gillette. I can’t buy your excellent blades anymore if you’re really that gross and insane. Supporting mental disease like this is beyond the pale. Now I no longer support you.

    1. @muckjumper I get Schick at Walmart, they’re cheaper and better than Gillette.

    1. “Yes, the world revolves around you, because you decided to do something unusual.”

      *mic drop*

    2. Too funny! Thanks for sharing I couldn’t actually watch the ad posted here because I don’t Facebook and since that had the ad with hilarious commentary, now I’ve seen it.

  61. I switched to an old school safety razor (the one our grandparents used) and single edge blade (think old west shave) years ago and haven’t looked back. Razor blades are dirt cheap, and there isn’t a thing those multi-blade Gillette razors can do that my “old tech” razors can’t do better.

  62. This is crazy on steroids. The Left is gone. Flat out lunatics. Molestation must be involved.

  63. I had a school teacher who could have used a good shave. It was hard not to stare at her sideburns. :exclamation:

  64. Not a man but a woman who suffers from gender dysphoria. And is being enabled by lunatics and corrupt doctors.
