Google, YouTube announce they will no longer allow advertising on anti-Climate Change content

The leftists bullies over at Google and YouTube have just announced that they will no longer allow any of their advertising to show up on anti-Climate Change content. Meaning people won’t be able to make money on any content that disagrees with Climate Change.

AXIOS – Google and YouTube on Thursday announced a new policy that prohibits climate deniers from being able to monetize their content on its platforms via ads or creator payments.

It’s one of the most aggressive measures any major tech platform has taken to combat climate change misinformation.

Google advertisers and publishers, as well as YouTube creators, will be prohibited from making ad revenue off content that contradicts “well-established scientific consensus around the existence and causes of climate change,” the company’s ads team said in a statement.

“This includes content referring to climate change as a hoax or a scam, claims denying that long-term trends show the global climate is warming, and claims denying that greenhouse gas emissions or human activity contribute to climate change.”

Ads and monetization will still be allowed to run alongside other climate-related topics, like public debates on climate policy, impacts of climate change, and new research around the issue.

Google said it’s making these changes in response to frustration from advertisers and content creators about their messages appearing alongside climate denialism.

First it’s COVID ‘misinformation’, now it’s Climate Change ‘misinformation’. We are definitely on the other side of the slippery slope rolling down the hill into a deeper hell of censorship.



And yes, this is absolutely censorship. Because the hope is to put websites who specialize in the truth about Climate Change out of business. It’s just another bully tactic to try and silence people.

For someone like me, who runs a website with content on a variety of political topics, it simply means if I call Climate Change a hoax on a given article, Google will block ads on that one article. But the bigger strategy, I believe, is to make someone like me think ‘why would I post about something that I can’t make money on?’ and therefore get me to silence myself. The problem for them is that we have principles that go further than just money.

The bottom line is that Google is heavily into censorship these days and as an advertising monopoly run by leftists, they will try and use their power to silence or mold content on the internet.
