Governor DeSantis just got some good news in the state of Iowa regarding the upcoming Iowa caucuses next year.
According to Dasha Burns, the super PAC supporting DeSantis, Never Back Down, has signed up nearly 600 committed caucus goers in their first week of campaigning:
NEW: Never Back Down, the super pac supporting DeSantis, got 583 people committing to caucus in Iowa in the campaign’s first week on the trail in the Hawkeye state.
Why care? About 200,000 caucus-goers will decide who wins the critical early state. Margins matter. pic.twitter.com/GhDlVZNrpg

Never Back Down says “Grassroots enthusiasm behind @RonDeSantis is getting into action early – before ANY other candidate. The grassroots movement behind Gov. DeSantis is growing – and it’s just getting started.”
Iowa is so weird with their caucusing and I don’t know a lot about it. But this sounds very encouraging and it seems to suggest DeSantis has a good ground game operation in the state which matters.
UPDATE: Here’s Bob Vander Plaats saying DeSantis had a great week in Iowa:
