Gov DeSantis reveals Florida DOT did temp fix on bridge just so power crews could get across to restore power

Governor DeSantis is rocking it hard in Florida right now in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

Just a few minutes ago he tweeted a video of a temporary fix to a bridge done at his request just so power crews could get to an area and restore power.

Watch:

DeSantis said at the end of last week that 99% of people had their power restored in the state:

Florida’s governor on Friday said more than 99% of the state’s residents have their power back after Hurricane Ian hammered the peninsula last week.

Speaking in Daytona Beach, Gov. Ron DeSantis said only parts of Lee County are still powerless, including Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach, which will both require complete rebuilds of their electrical infrastructure.

“They’re 100% in almost every part of the state,” DeSantis said. “There’s a couple pockets that the electrical co-op in Lee County are still working on.”

Sanibel Island was one of the last major areas without power and it looks like DeSantis has taken care of that now with this temporary bridge repair. They should have lights on soon.

What’s really amazing about all of this is that Democrats are upset that they can’t use Ian against DeSantis because he’s done that good of a job. GOOD!
