Guess who which students are NOT speaking at the “student-led” #MarchForOurLives rally

The March is well underway today, and receiving wall-to-wall glowing coverage from CNN. There are thousands and thousands of protesters out in multiple cities. CNN calls it a “massive” turnout.

I don’t know about massive, but to be clear, this is a big, big event. There are a LOT of folks there, and there are a lot of STUDENTS there. But there are some students who aren’t part of this event.

No, it’s not the Jonas Brothers, who are clearly represented.

But you see, a group of Marjory Stoneman Douglas kids get a lot of press. They get the cover of Time magazine. They’re making speeches in front of thousands of people today. But only a certain kind of Marjory Stoneman Douglas student is given the weight of authenticity from being a victim, and the hallowed and precious kid glove treatment of the press.

Others, the other kind, not so much.

Kyle Kashuv, you may know from seeing him on Fox News, is not one of the gun controller Parkland kids. He is more on the Republican ideological end of the spectrum. He speaks out the Second Amendment. Just not at the #MarchforOurLives.

Also not invited to speak is Patrick Petty, who lost his twin sister in the shooting. Like Kyle, Petty isn’t one of the activist students demanding more gun control, though he and his family have spoken out a lot and were deeply involved in the Florida legislation and are likewise involved with the STOP act before congress.

But that’s not good enough to get him on stage either.

Because this event isn’t really student-led. It’s organized, paid for, and promoted by extreme left wing organizations and politicians. Not kids. And those orgs aren’t about to let anyone, no matter how authentic their pain, speak for anything less than these orgs own agendas.

Of course, it’s not just the rallies, and it’s not just the orgs. Aside from Fox News, the press isn’t giving them the time of day either.
