HA HA: Steamed AOC snaps back at Nancy Pelosi and this is why the internet isn’t a total waste

Yesterday, Nancy Pelosi whipped the whippersnapper Democrats in their first terms who make the most news, and the most trouble, by pushing their extreme left-wing, social justice warrior nonsense on everyone.

Pelosi was mad that people treat the newbies like they’re more liberal and progressive than her, and probably mad that they’re going to tank the 2020 election by being nutcases, but the burn was bipartisan gold as she suggested that they are just social media weirdos living off their tweets and follower count.

I am still cracking up about it. But anyway, AOC tried to burn back. The only thing better than Dem establishment burning Dem newbies is total Dem warfare, so this is just music to our eyes and ears.

That is so great. It’s snotty, it’s sarcastic, it obviously meant to imply Pelosi is out of touch, out of tune, and out of time … it’s just preciously, precociously perfect.

But it gets better. The wounded social justice warrior couldn’t let it go a snarkastic win. She was so hurt by being exposed as a Twitter Democrat that she lashed out in defense of social media as some kind of awesome force of the people.

And then, for the finale, she basically says that Pelosi is killing kids.

I said it yesterday, and I’ll say it today, GET THIS IN MY VEINS.

  1. She ACTUALLY believes her crap don’t stink……this is how and why libs lose. Ain’t it grand?? 😀

  2. A good time to post this relevant article. It’s long, but insightful. Answers the question, how did this AOC idiot even get on the ballot? Dangerous conservative minority? They’re not talking about republicans….

‘There Is Going to Be a War Within the Party. We Are Going to Lean Into It.’

Maybe you’ve heard the warning: The country is beset by a menace. A fringe conservative minority is holding Congress hostage, extracting radical policy concessions over the will of the majority. And it’s leading the nation to fiscal, environmental and moral ruin.

Maybe you haven’t heard this part: These dangerous conservatives are Democrats.

“I am talking about the radical conservatives in the Democratic Party,” said Saikat Chakrabarti. “That’s who we need to counter. It’s the same across any number of issues—pay-as-you-go, free college, “Medicare for all.” These are all enormously popular in the party, but they don’t pass because of the radical conservatives who are holding the party hostage.”

    1. Radical conservative Democrats?

Wow! That’s an even more vacuous concept than Social Justice.

      1. They are becoming the masters of the proverbial oxymoron. I think it helped that they were complete morons to begin with. The vacuousness was just another added dash of spice to the carp sandwiches that they keep wanting to feed people.

  3. Kamala Harris was wrong (again). Americans do love food fights.
Plus EBT puts free food on their tables, so that is not their worry.

  4. I don’t believe it was a good idea for Dems to blindly trust the Trump admin when so many kids have died in their custody.

Y’know, I got into a knife fight with antifa guys the other day. One of them got me good. I did the best I could to wrap it up with duct tape and awesome, but it was pretty clear it was a fatal wound. I limped my way to the police station and a cop took me in his arms, and in my last dying breaths I explained what happened.

AOC went ballistic that I died in police custody.

    1. I had tears in my eyes reading the incident of you in a knife fight with ANTIFA Guys [more than one] Sorry what happened, gonna miss you and your responses. PS couldn’t you have been the winner and ANTIFA losing their lives.

      1. I wasn’t trying to kill them. But most of them are now branded on the forehead so you can identify them later.

  5. First time I’ve ever thought Pelosi was right on the mark about something. AOC is just an over-hyped big mouth with no THERE there and thinks she rules Congress after a mere six months in office, whereas in reality she doesn’t have a single committee assignment, and if it weren’t for all her tweeting and grandstanding she would be just another freshman Congresswoman. But let them keep tearing each other apart, it’ll only help Trump get re-elected.

  7. Since when is Nancy the good one?

Btw I didn’t bother to read the article. Why should we, garbage in garbage out.

  9. If the polls in her home state are correct, AOC won’t be around after the next election.

    1. Yaaaay! I’m hoping it will be so. I’m actually looking forward to the weeping and gnashing of teeth as she’s knocked on her arrogant juvenile derrière!

      1. @philliesthoughts I think that now that she has name recognition, she’ll go for higher office.

  10. I don’t believe it was a good idea for Dems to blindly trust the Trump admin when so many kids have died in their custody.

    1. AT, now that you’re dead are you going to vote Democrat? I was told that’s what all good responsible dead people do? :silly: 😛 😉

        1. Lol! I hope the new one is more to your liking? I could use a new one myself. I like the old one but for some crazy reason it keeps breaking down and mysteriously losing parts, 😯 😀

    2. I had tears in my eyes reading the incident of you in a knife fight with ANTIFA Guys [more than one] Sorry what happened, gonna miss you and your responses. PS couldn’t you have been the winner and ANTIFA losing their lives.

        1. Thanks AT really enjoyed this exchange.Enjoy the rerun of the Women’s World Cup Soccer Victory and have a nice day.

  11. I find it strange when members act as though social media isn’t important.

So do a lot of people on the right, as they go into histrionics about Facetweet Instatube Pineo etc.

Maybe J-Mao’s right, and this is just the rallying cry we all need to get behind government clubbing social media providers into doing what we want them to. It ain’t 2008 anymore. We need social media.

No new, handy open thread exists, so I’ll just have to exercise a point of personal misbehavior and use this one to let you folks know I am once again a Floridian.

Yes, I rejoined the ranks of Florida Man by closing up the Boogie Southern Compound in Appalachia, and so we loaded up the truck and moved to Floridee.

We’re up North, though, where the Deep South begins, so not exacly down in the land of oranges. I grew up on the Space Coast in the 50s & 60s, so I sort of feel like I’m back home.

I can’t believe how many people are down here. All of Australia has only a few million more people than the state of Florida. But I had to move the K-Missus to someplace warm. So we made the move. I have loads of family here, so I’m not really adding, just “putting back.”

So like @wendzpnw , I have escaped the pull of Appalachia. I loved it there. But it’s just a place.

    1. I thought you were the owner of K Bob’s restaurant in Las Vegas, NM!!! Congratulating on your move

    2. @k-bob I love this site, but I never can understand why, when we do get an open thread, it’s usually late at night when it’s too late to use and share! :unamused:

Anyway, Congratulations on your new digs!

ps: There’s a lot to be said for good weather!

pps: Also a couple of “good” new voters in the all important swing state! WooHoo!

      1. Hey, good point! I’m so used to living in lefty-dominated places, I’m used to my vote not counting.

    3. @k-bob I was in the Kingsport (on the way to Sturgoinsville) area of east TN last week and my new GPS decided to take the scenic route and got me stuck. A couple guys helped me get my truck turned around. Good people around there and it’s pretty country.

        1. @k-bob That’s funny. The first time I drove truck down to the Tampa area, I was thinking that it was like Illinois with palm trees.

          1. Yeah, Tampa is not like other Florida coastal cities. They treated the bay like a sewer for too many years for it to have developed as a great beach destination. So it’s more like a midwestern city, with better climate.

People prior to the WWII generation just didn’t think of vacation much. And if you got time off, you visited family. So most cities around the country treated their rivers, bays, and lakes like a festering annoyance. It’s slowly turning around, with San Antonio’s Riverwalk as a prime showcase of how to do it right.

I know they’ve been trying to clean up the Tampa bay for years, and it’s much better now, for sure. But it may take several more decades before it’s really as clean as it ought to be. Same with the Indian River area from Cocoa down to Grant. There used to be some great oyster and clam beds there before the 1930s.

    4. Congrats on your move, K-Bob. If your in north Florida and where the “Deep South begins”, I assume you must be close to the panhandle? IMO the gulf side is the better side of the state. Nicer folks and gorgeous beaches.

  13. If the polls in her home state are correct, AOC won’t be around after the next election.

  14. The little twit just cannot keep her big mouth shut. That’s all to the good for the right and all to the bad for the left.

    1. Radical conservative Democrats?

Wow! That’s an even more vacuous concept than Social Justice.

      1. @k-bob It shows how far left they’re trying to push the party. Recruiting useful idiots into the socialist party.

      2. They are becoming the masters of the proverbial oxymoron. I think it helped that they were complete morons to begin with. The vacuousness was just another added dash of spice to the carp sandwiches that they keep wanting to feed people.

  16. “I haven’t dialed for dollars *once* this year, & have more time to do my actual job. Yet we’d rather campaign like it’s 2008′

Yet, when called on to vote in favor of a bipartisan bill FUNDING our BORDER PATROL you chose to VOTE NO. You’re a hypocrite, AOC. What is it you think your job requires of you? Here’s a hint…UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Which means…YOU WORK FOR AMERICANS, not special interests, not illegal aliens, not big business. You work for us, WE THE PEOPLE, the men and women who pay the taxes which pays your salary. So get off your high horse and come down to reality and do your job, the one you swore an oath to do, defend AMERICANS!!!

    1. I think that in “AOC speak” doing “her job” is spending lavishly on herself on someone else’s dime and spending hours on social media checking her “likes” status. In other words, she’s a spoiled brat Gen Y’er who wouldn’t know a real job from a hole in the wall. She’s living like she’s never moved out of her parents’ house. Her actions and talk since she’s been in office show decidedly that she has NO idea what it’s like to actually work or have a targeted lifetime career and she can’t really understand anyone who does. She also means that she has no clue where the government’s money actually comes from and that is from people who seriously work for a living. Like a spoiled clueless brat she thinks that all the money she needs just pops magically out of the little machine at the bank or checkout line. Just go get all the money there! Ugh! She is a female Obama pure and simple.

  17. I like it when the commie-socialist party takes shots at their own, but interestingly, when it comes to the newbs in that party, Nancy Pelosi sounds almost like a Republican, and that’s just sick! LOL 😮

          1. Great point; they eat rodents but these days, where the human snakes are concerned, it is hard to discern much difference from the democrats, snakes, rats and weasels! 😀

  18. Did Cortez just take a shot at Barack Obama? Perhaps she, being very young and inexperienced, impetuous, mis-educated, and lacking honesty wasn’t happy that Obama did not take the country directly into her ideas of utopia which means communism during his 2 terms as pres. Obama did a lot of damage to this country, but for some little idiot twenty something who daily displays her youthful quest for “I want it, and I want it now” attitudes. We were all twenty something as some point, and many of us also believed that those older adults didn’t know anything. They just didn’t understand, so you stomp your feet and demand that everyone listen to your vast and worldly wisdom. Remember Cortez got her start in politics working for the Bernie Sanders campaign, just about 3 short years ago, and all of a sudden a master politician was born. 😆 The fact that Cortez has very low approval ratings from the voters in her district likely means she will follow “One Term Tommy” right out the door of Congress next year, and it appears she really doesn’t care, or is dumb enough not to know.

“That public “whatever” is called public sentiment.”

I know Trump has a big ego, but Cortez’s ego is in the stratosphere. She doesn’t even have the support of her constituents in her district, yet she thinks she has her finger on the pulse of public sentiment across the nation? Whooooosh

I have nothing good to say about Piglosi, as she birthed this moron’s “trip.” You can interpret that anyway you like, as well as the other newbie radicals. She praised them and gushed over them and very much so helped to make them the face of the new Democrat party. Now, when she knows they are so radical, and out of touch with the majority of the American population, she has finally come to realize that she and they have handed Trump re-election on a silver platter, and the House majority just may go back to the Republicans. At least Obama and Piglosi knew that you have to take smaller steps, and sometimes one step back while forging ahead for the next time hoping to gain 2 steps. That is how the Democrats have operated for a very long time. They never give up but always know you can’t make radical changes, the kind Cortez wants all of a sudden. Cortez, in her youthful impetutousness has a whole lot to learn, but fortunately will never be in any position to realize her utopian goals.

I love every minute of it. Keep going Cortez, your help is much appreciated.

    1. AOC is constantly attacking the obama administration, just not by name (but by years in control). Clearly, she is not happy that the commie-socialist democrat party was not bold enough under barack, which I can only assume means AOC will be running for POTUS in 2024…and with the lunacy going on in America these days, the dumbing down of our kids in indoctrinational facilities called public schools and universities, it could happen! Baruch Haba B’shem Adonai :praying: :praying: :praying: !!! I do not want to see the advent of the United Commie-Socialist States of Idiocracy.

      1. @charli and @scope-formerly-pinecone This come from the article I just posted here. It shows some of their mindset:

As the 2016 primary got underway, Shahid was working at an immigrants rights legal aid group in Philadelphia; people would come in—asylum seekers, undocumented immigrants—and Shahid recalls telling them, day after day, to just keep watching CNN because Obama was bound to pass something clarifying their status sooner or later. “It was the most demoralizing, uninspiring time of my life,” he said.

Disappointed with Obama, Shahid got a job with the Working Families Party, which was all-in for Sanders, and after the election began trying to figure out how to make big systemic changes in politics, or “cultureshifts”—not just winning arguments, but changing the terms of the whole debate.

“The idea is that you bring moral questions to the public’s attention, and have the public rally around it,” he says. “Reframe the issue so that the choices are stark, and let the public decide rather than people in power.” He points to how the “99 percent” became a buzzword after Occupy Wall Street; how Obama and Hillary Clinton eventually came to oppose the Keystone Pipeline after supporting it; how “Abolish ICE” quickly went from a fringy Twitter slogan to one embraced by mainstream Democrats. Either you favor ripping kids from their homes, or you don’t. And if you don’t, suddenly the policy choices aren’t incremental: They’re rather stark.

        1. Wow, do you have the link to the article, Sheer?? Very interesting (and pretty darned sickening to boot!). I would love to use it elsewhere too but not all sites allow the full article, so need the link. THANKS!
NO WAIT! I think I found it…a great one from Politico that mentions names, controllers/manipulators, etc….THANK Sheer!

  19. For the NeverTrumpers, it must be hard to pick between these two lunatics. I wonder who “independent” future Presidential candidate Justin Amash supports. Anyone want to take a guess?

    1. Well, we do know that the old TDSer crew has started voting democrat and that Rachel Maddow is their news personality of choice these days. Showing how the self proclaimed “true conservatives” act.

    2. The TDSer crew has their new flag bearer, don’t they? It was John McCain, then Jeff Flake was a hero and Justin Amash must be Alexander the Great in their eyes.

      1. @ryan-o Last I heard Klobachar was the choice, but I bet they’re overjoyed with Amash.

    3. I don’t believe Amash will support any of the candidates as he wants to become the president himself. It will be fun watching him get about as far as Evan McMuffin did. McMuffin couldn’t even win his own home state of Utah. Amash claims that some Republicans (likely Romney) and other high level officials called him to thank him for supporting Trump’s impeachment. Calling those like Billy Kristol, David French, Charlie Sykes and Jonah Goldberg high level officials is a bit of a stretch in my book. I believe they singled him out for recruitment and have been in touch with him for some time. It also wouldn’t surprise me if the new Soros/Koch org., co-founded by an Iranian loyalist gets behind him and fills his coffers.

      1. Yeah, I’m sure Amash is supported by the usual suspects. Amash is naive and ignorant thinking he’s going to have any meaningful support. The NeverTrump crowd would have a hard time filling up a phone booth, much less getting enough votes to matter. Couldn’t happen to a better crew.

        1. ryan- I was just poking around to see what is going on with the Libertarian Party for the 2020 pres. elections. They are gaining a long list of people that no one has ever heard of before, and frankly never will. Of course Adam Kokesh is one, Bill Weld was mentioned but I thought he already declared as a Republican challenger to Trump. A third name came up-John McAffee. He is running his campaign to become the Libertarian 2020 pres. candidate from his new home. Where is his new home you ask? Why in Cuba of course. 😆

Since Amash has always called himself a Libertarian, that would be the most likely party for him to run in. As I said the Libertarian Koch’s would likely push him hard, and fill his bank account for the race, along with Soros who is the master never Trumper who would spend his entire fortune to get rid of Trump.

I read somewhere this morning that those identifying as Libertarians make up a whooping 4% of the entire population in this country.

Amash smashed himself right in his own junk. 😀

        2. @ryan-o Remember when Amash was taken apart at his town hall meeting by one of his constituents? If he couldn’t even handle an “amateur” like her, he’s going nowhere.

    1. It’s really hard to tell now who is the bigger lunatic… I believe the GOP will retake the House.

      1. They might but there is no group in politics that can trip over themselves better than the GOP. Suicide, self harm is something the GOP has mastered.

        1. @ryan-o
Agreed. The republicans haven’t offered anything substantial since the contact with America. They can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like no other brand…

  20. Sandy, go walk the mean streets of Barry’s Chicago or Tlaib’s Detroit, cry over all the dead kids every week. Then get back to us.

Let’s appoint you are plenipotentiary governor of Puerto Rico and stay there until you get it fixed.

  21. Kamala Harris was wrong (again). Americans do love food fights.
Plus EBT puts free food on their tables, so that is not their worry.

  22. Cortez, there are 300 million people in America. At best you have a million or so brain-dead twitter followers. Do the math. More are following Brittney Spears.

  23. So, AOC isn’t dialing for dollars? She’s going to need them too because when next year when she’s primaried the Dems won’t help her. You can’t spend your time fighting party leaders and then expect them to back you.

    1. It depends on whether or not another candidate is running against her. Did you ever hear who her competition was in 2018? me either 😕

      1. @joyfulgiver Think I’ve seen where someone is going to run against her. It’s a young woman but I think she’s Republican. Also think in 2016 she was mostly unopposed after she beat Joe Crowley. If he was smart he’d primary her next year. He’d probably win. He was the Dem rep in that district for years.

    1. @nc-checks-and-balances Heard that on the radio the other day. I’d be sad, but I haven’t bought one since I was 13.

      1. I know, me too Doc. But think of all the young kids who really could use that kind of humor and now will miss out. Me, I’m worried.

        1. @nc-checks-and-balances ISWYDT. My humor was somewhat influenced by Mad, I’m afraid that much of it does not fit into today’s PC culture.

  24. [[The wounded social justice warrior couldn’t let it go]]
    .
Narcissists rarely can let it go- ‘Oh noes- someone on the internets doesn’t like me- I must rectify it by winning the argument”

  25. “…….they’re going to tank the 2020 election by being nutcases.” Correct Fred T
AOC and the 20+ candidates running for President are going to hand Trump a victory in 2020. Flyover America aren’t buying the sh*t sandwich they are serving up with open borders, free healthcare for all. America doesn’t want higher taxes and unemployment to skyrocket again {Obama}.
Biden is their best chance for a win being center left and they’re trying to get rid of him. Dumb.

  26. I’m from NY
I know AOC’s district. My dad was a printer and would do campaign work for both sides there and was well connected there as a business owner in the district.
The people in this area are not interested in her global aspirations in Congress and her Young Turks backing.
They want her to focus on how she can improve their lives at the local level though meaningful legislation like taxes, healthcare, transit, and normal things that affect lower income people in a big city.
I am absolutely positive she will be primaried by another woman next election by the same machine that tried everything it could to stop Bernie from winning.

    1. Spinning her wheels saving South America while forgetting the people in her district and their needs is a sure fire way to get a one way ticket back home to her bartending job.

      1. @landscaper I think that she’s using strife to get as much name recognition as possible and move on the higher office.

  27. She’s not “dialing for dollars”?

Good. I don’t care who they are or what kind of “grassroots” support they think they have. Poor fundraising makes a challenge very attractive and an easy sell to big donors and bundlers who want a politician they can influence.

Her seat may be safe from a Republican, but if she looks weak in terms of campaign money, she’s could easily be ousted in a primary or by an independent in the general.

  28. I find it strange when members act as though social media isn’t important.

So do a lot of people on the right, as they go into histrionics about Facetweet Instatube Pineo etc.

  33. I like it when the commie-socialist party takes shots at their own, but interestingly, when it comes to the newbs in that party, Nancy Pelosi sounds almost like a Republican, and that’s just sick! LOL 😮

    1. It’s really hard to tell now who is the bigger lunatic… I believe the GOP will retake the House.

  36. Sandy, go walk the mean streets of Barry’s Chicago or Tlaib’s Detroit, cry over all the dead kids every week. Then get back to us.

Let’s appoint you are plenipotentiary governor of Puerto Rico and stay there until you get it fixed.

  37. So, AOC isn’t dialing for dollars? She’s going to need them too because when next year when she’s primaried the Dems won’t help her. You can’t spend your time fighting party leaders and then expect them to back you.

    1. It depends on whether or not another candidate is running against her. Did you ever hear who her competition was in 2018? me either 😕

  38. [[The wounded social justice warrior couldn’t let it go]]
    .
Narcissists rarely can let it go- ‘Oh noes- someone on the internets doesn’t like me- I must rectify it by winning the argument”

Dumb.
