The story that President Donald Trump wrestled with the Secret Service, trying to take the steering wheel and force them to drive him to the Capitol on January 6 was always absolutely ridiculous and dumb, and the media treated with reverent shock and faux earnest alarm because that is just the kind of creepy people they are.
But nobody — NOBODY — has made such thorough work of destroying it, and highlighting the utter stupidity, as President Trump himself did tonight at CPAC.
