Hannity: Sarah Palin talks about the left’s hateful rhetoric and their hypocrisy

Sarah Palin went on Hannity tonight to discuss the hateful rhetoric from the left and why the leaders from the left are not only mum about it, but continue to work with these hateful leftists and even take their money, all the while they try and silence the right for much less. She even calls out the president over not apologizing for his ‘Special Olympics‘ comment in 2009.

Here’s the full interview:

The more I read these post, and the more I get the fire in my belly feeling, I think it is time for the patriots of America to stand up and fight. We the people have sat by too long and allowed our beloved country be taken over by bureaucrats in both parties. It is time to take our beloved country back. It will not happen with this clown show of a primary that is going on right now. Sarah Palin used to draw 20,000 people to one event, even running with a loser like McCain. We need someone that the people can rally behind with fire & might. Someone who we would be willing to sacrifice something to make sure she is protected. I might sound a little over the top here, but I am so tired of having to chose between the lesser of two evils, and know… Read more »

In case you are wondering what Sarah Palin is up to right now, she has been giving a series of encouraging talks at EWomen Christian womens’ conferences.

Here is the one in Greenville, SC from last week:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoKJ94sANCo

She did a talk last year in Lynchburg, VA at Liberty University.

She’s got another speech scheduled in Birmingham AL, April 27-28.

I’ve often wondered why Palin didn’t throw her hat in the ring from the gitgo. Many say it’s because she didn’t want her family to go through the abuse they had to endure in ’08. I can see that and respect it. I just wonder if maybe, along with that or even because of that, she had a different way to approach this election cycle (a rogue way, if you will). Knowing that the leftist media would slam her and smear her all the way to the convention (as they have with Gingrich and Santorum, in a lesser way than they would have with her), I wonder if she didn’t decide to let the mud-throwing occur and if a good and decent candidate emerged, then she would be happy. But if one didn’t, then she would be ready, at the convention, to take control and lead us to victory over… Read more »

More very thoughtful and cogent posts Nukeman60, thank you. I have had similar thoughts, especially after Sarah said that this would be an election unlike any other. That’s why I’m hoping for an intercession from above (or anywhere!) that can see her and Newt get the nomination at the convention. They would be unbeatable and clearly illustrate the huge and necessary contrast with 0bama. That man hates America.

When John McCain announced her as his VP pick, I said “who?” I had never heard of her. She won me over quickly. Ever since Gov. Palin came to my city during the 08 campaign and I got to see her, I have been a big admirer. Our Coliseum was packed, with people left standing outside. We said the Pledge of Allegiance then sang the National Anthem. She brought the house down. The energy in that 10,000 seat building was unbelievable. I’d like to think it was for the same reason that this not easily impressed patriot was won over. It is also the reason she has been attacked so vehemently by the left and even by some conservatives. She’s a woman, a Christian, a patriot, a dedicated wife and mother. She is not afraid to fight for what she believes in. She’s a walking book of knowledge on a… Read more »

I agree with you, Wodiej. When McCain first picked Sarah, I thought that he was just pandering to Hillarys female backing and I didn’t like it. But when I heard her speak, I was convinced that we had someone worthwhile here. In comparison, when I heard Obama speak for the first time, I recoiled and told myself, “What the heck was that?”

As far as Hannity goes, I wish he would stop showing that vulgar clip of all the bad things said about Palin every time she is on the show. I wonder how it makes her feel to have to see that over and over and over again. He doesn’t have to do that, but I get the feeling he’s constantly using it just for his own ratings. Maybe it’s just me, but it rubs me the wrong way.

I’ve gotten to the point where I just can’t watch Hannity anymore. I try, but I rarely make it past the first segment. Sean has always had a problem with repeating himself. He does it constantly no matter the subject. He’s got 2 or 3 talking points on every subject and just keeps repeating them. He doesn’t actually listen to his guests so he ends up stepping on their best lines, or something they say triggers one of his talking points so he interrupts and goes at it again. And he makes so many mistakes of fact.

It was Willow who went to the basketball game with Palin that night. Not Bristol. But Sean asked such a long winded convoluted question that Palin didn’t get the chance to correct him. That threw the whole interview off for me. He means well.

I’ve accepted the fact, for a long time now, that Hannity is somewhat self-serving and most certainly 100% Republican. Everything he says is slanted to that and that’s okay. He makes no bones about it. He’s not like the idiot Geraldo that said he was 110% behind Bush, but now is 110% behind Obama (because he’s president). What a numbskull.

Hey, remember that he did not apologize to the special needs community, but only to the President of the Special Olympics.

Interesting though.

When it suits his political needs he can go to the podium and tell the world that he called Sandra Fluke, or talk about Trayvon Martin, but he can’t go to the podium and tell the world that he apologizes to the special needs community, which not only includes the President of the Special Olympics, but also the parents of special needs children and special needs children.

Who do you think the Chairman of the Special Olympics represents? Obama didn’t tell the world he talked to Sandra Fluke. He called Sandra Fluke and was asked about it later. He was also asked about Trayvon Martin. When did Obama duck a question about his apology to the Special Olympics? Obama’s joke did not mention special needs children or the parents of special needs children. It mentioned the Special Olympics, and so President Obama directed his apology to that organization’s head. Tim Shriver seemed to be impressed with the sincerity of that apology. Why aren’t you?

All that shows, Dannyboy, is that Obamas handlers know a bit more about saving face than he does. He was laughing on the show, not apologizing and the fact that his people said get something out there before it airs just shows how they are totally based on polls and appearances. I saw no ‘sincerity or contriteness’, as Russ Rogers and most of the left media want to say.

“[Palin] even calls out the president over not apologizing for his ‘Special Olympics‘ comment in 2009.” OK. So Sarah Palin is keeping a LONG list of grievances and offenses that is at least three years old. When Sarah Palin gets offended, she STAYS offended, even if she has to lie about it to remain offended! Because Barack Obama sincerely apologized for his comments directly to the Chairman of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver. But Sarah Palin would rather you didn’t notice that. Or maybe Sarah Palin just missed that part of the story. Because Sarah Palin would rather be confused about this (and I’m being generous here), because what Palin said was simply NOT true. And it was easily checked. It took me about 45 seconds with Google. Barack Obama sincerely and contritely apologized. It didn’t take Obama days to do that. Petitions didn’t need to be signed. He just… Read more »

You are seem to be going out of your way to excuse the hypocrisy of Barack “Just a minute sweetie” Obama regarding his comments on Rush about women and civility.

It’s not about a grudge (nice attempt at the red herring ploy, but it doesn’t even make it across the trail). It’s about a long list of examples where leftists love nasty remarks as long as they are launched by their heroes, and directed at the right targets. It’s exactly how thuggish politics is conducted by the left, and it isn’t working.

Go ahead and act all offended that someone would have a memory going back more than a few years.

If this is just ONE example from the long list, why isn’t it an example that is TRUE? Obama made an apology. And there was also statement released to the press. Obama apologized DIRECTLY to the organization he offended. I’m not offended that someone have a memory going back a few years, IF that someone got their facts straight and fully remember the story. Sarah Palin didn’t say that Obama didn’t give ENOUGH of an apology to the RIGHT people. She said he didn’t apologize. He DID! So Sarah Palin clearly was confused or LYING! Which do you think it was? Did she know she was wrong but didn’t care, or did she not care to check to see if she might be wrong? Obama’s statement to the press made the news, his direct phone call to Tim Shriver MADE the NEWS! That’s not a secret, behind the scenes kind… Read more »

The apology was to the President of the Organization and a report of the apology was made by the President to the Press.

It was not a public apology issued by the President at the podium to all participants in the Special Olympics.

Interesting though.

He can go to the podium and tell the world that he called Sandra Fluke, or talk about Trayvon Martin, but he can’t go to the podium and tell the world that he apologizes to the participants in the Special Olympics.

Those on the left cannot comprehend why anyone would allow a child with Down’s Syndrome to be born… and an article in a recent medical journal said that infanticide is the logical next step to abortion and that children that are imperfect when they are born should be legally killed – so is it any wonder that Obama felt comfortable making a joke at the expense of those who participate in the Special Olympics? It is the attitude of the man who thought he was being funny that is appalling. The fact that he apologized for the sake of political expediency means very little. I know, pull the video and replaced it with Obama apologizing to the Special Olympics? No, Obama didn’t apologize to the Special Olympics, he apologized to the Chairman of the Special Olympics. OH OK, Replace it with the video of Obama apologizing to the Chairman! Oh wait, there is no video of him apologizing to the Chairman either, he apologized to the media.

If the Right Scoop is going to highlight a line from Sarah Palin’s statement, you would think it could be a true statement. The problem. The President never apologized to the parents of special needs children or special needs children for his disparaging remarks.

The problem with that was that The President never made any reference to Special Needs Children. He made a disparaging remark about the Special Olympics, and so THAT is the organization he apologized to. That makes sense. It was a STUPID joke, but the joke didn’t mention ANY children with special needs. The White House had released a statement before the show aired apologizing for the President’s mistake. Nobody had to call out the President on his bad performance. He was pointing it out and apologizing even BEFORE the interview even aired. And after the show aired, the President called Tim Shriver. “He expressed his disappointment and he apologized, I think, in a way that was very moving,” Tim Shriver, the chairman of the Special Olympics board, told “Good Morning America” today. “He expressed that he did not intend to humiliate this population, certainly didn’t want to embarrass or give… Read more »

And the President release a statement even before the show aired, pointing out his own mistake and apologizing for it! Because he didn’t think that was enough, he made a personal call to Tim Shriver. Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger publicly accepted President Obama’s apology. John, I’m sorry you don’t think the President did enough. But, Sarah Palin LIED. She said he had NOT apologized. She didn’t say that he had not apologized to the right people. Obama issued several apologies. Obama began apologizing even before the gaffe aired!

John_Frank

LOL. Lied?!?

This individual clearly is hard of hearing. Governor Palin said she did not recall that he had apologized. Why was that her recollection? Because the apology of the President was only to the President of the Special Olympics and not to all those who were hurt by the President’s disparaging joke, aka the special needs community, which includes the parents of special needs children and special needs children.

I ‘expect’ the President to run the office of the President of the United States in a fashion suited of the people, by the people, and for the people. Not just do things that he ‘politically’ deems appropriate. If there hadn’t been an uproar, there wouldn’t have been an apology. Did he apologize for calling the Tea Party ‘tea-baggers’. No. Why? Because their wasn’t an uproar and therefore it didn’t hurt his approval rating.

Everything he does is based on polls and approval rating. Did you see him apologize on Leno? No, he laughed. It was funny until the polls told him it wasn’t. Real sincerity there.

And, by the way, if you can show me what google tool you use to determine whether his apology was ‘sincere and contrite’, I would appreciate it. That would be a useful tool, indeed.

POTUS Obama while in office, has dedicated himself to the needs of the leftist agendas, promoting racism, sexual deviance, unhealthy sexual practices and abortion, Islamism, environmental myths and foreign interests as well as horrific unprecedented looting of the treasury for his friends and his special projects.

He has no love for ALL the American people, no appreciation, or regard for its laws and founding documents, and does not abide by them.

If we get this man out peaceably and without him and his hate-mongering Islamists and Marxists destroying the WH, Capitol and NYC, as well as the Statue of Liberty, or dismantling our security and installing himself as dictator for life – we will be fortunate.

I do not forsee a peaceful transition of power. Already little Jimmy Hoffa Jr and Soros are promising violence.

I’m not fond of the violent approach, myself, but our country and it’s foundation is most definitely worth fighting for. If those on the far left are not ready for a contested battle, they may well get a rude awakening.

Some of the extremists would gladly encourage an internal war, but the majority of them are much like the OWS: ‘Let’s picket when the weather is nice and demand our “rights”, but don’t push me. It’s not fair.’

Perhaps not ‘slamming’ but firmly and quietly standing firm, speaking the truth quietly without perjoratives, epithets, vulgarities, cursing and racial slurs would be the best.

The British are masters of proper take downs, lightening quick retort, rapier sharp wit, carefully worded responses, so filled with truth, light and motivated by desire for right, redemption, edification, building up, restoring, not defaming and destroying.

This is the way conservatives must respond for the sake of our cause.

We must not respond to violence with violence, hate with hate, vulgarity with vulgarity.

Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity are modeling the right way of responding and speaking for the sake of love of guarding truth and goodness.

This is the method that Jesus would approve. (Matthew 12:37, Ephesians 4:12-29, II Timothy 2:24-26)

Mark Levin says a 3rd party would give the Dems power for a long time until it could be established. I respect Levin a lot, but this is not our fathers political scene any more. We can get it going fast and make it successful.

Iranians claim to be champions of Human rights and dignity, and yet when have they ever criticized Hamas? Hizbollah? The Muslim Brotherhood? When have they condemned an al-Qaeda attack? They’ll do that, no sooner than somebody like Debbie Stabenow or Jennifer Granholm condemns Bill Maher for his remarks about Sarah Palin, and her family [and, yes, I’ve repeatedly asked both of them if they’d do that, via Facebook; neither respond, but have responded to other questions]. Bill Maher, Special Ed, Jesse Jackass and all the rest are proxy fighters for the left’s political wing, the DNC. The DNC has a degree of separation from them, when it becomes convenient to, and then can move in and rub shoulders with them, when that becomes convenient or politically expedient. As they… Read more »

IMO the RINOs are the worst.

I rank the progressives with a ‘D’ as an enemy that must be defeated.
I rank the progressives with a ‘R’ (RINOs) as traitorous saboteurs.

I don’t know of anything lower than a traitorous saboteur.

If the GOP elite served us commoners, and had a first priority of beating Obama, Sarah Palin would be our nominee – probably by now.

Unfortunately, its not just the Left attacking conservatives its Republicans as well. This is why I think conservatives must rise up as a voice which cannot be shouted down.

RINO exhibit “A”…

David Frum’s “damnation with faint praise” of Andrew Breitbart. Breitbart was not even in his grave when this sewage sludge flowed from Frum’s keyboard.

Read it but duct tape your head first.

plenty of time. Perot didn’t reenter the race in 1992 until Oct 1 with a 7% approval.

This is true. Remember, it’s out there that the GOPe could choose an entirely different candidate at the convention if Mittens fails. Kinda blows the “too late” meme out of the water.

Class and a spine. No wonder she beats out Romney and 0bama in the polls.

Love Sarah, but Bugs Bunny could beat Obama or Romney in the polls and he’s not running either.

Don’t you love how the ignorant here in Canada think they know so much about her? I love disabusing them with the facts. They only wish they had half of the steel spine that woman has. Idiots…all of them!

Yes, and not just in Canada. The LSM in the UK and the rest of Europe have trashed her achievements too. Lame brains there have bought the US media’s line completely.
Crikey, I even had to school one of my otherwise very smart UK nieces – she was suitably impressed and is now a fan of Sarah.
Still dreaming of a convention coup by Sarah and Newt, with top cabinet members Bolton, Perry and Cain.

Did you see the Facebook pictures scoop lined to above for Downs Syndrome day?

UK citizen here and I couldn’t agree more. The hatchet job on Sarah Palins character by the BBC has been so complete that I know of people whose views are very much in line with the views Sarah Palin has fought relentlessly for but for some reason still have nothing good to say about her.

I agree! Her ability to get to the bottom line and stay poised through the hell the establishment (on both sides) foisted upon her is another reason she’s a classy warrior. More women in the spotlight should take note for one day they may find themselves in that position and who shall be there for them? Oh to have her on the ticket!

Each time that I hear her speak, I get so sad because so many Republicans stayed silent while she was being trashed in the book Game Change and then the movie

Anyone that has stayed silent and not stepped up to defend her is a coward!!!!

I stopped listening to his bloviating years ago. He was great the first few years and I watched him religiously. Recently, he’s been nothing but an Obama apologist. Pass!

Yeah, he has bent over backwards to be nice to Obama. Yet, he claims to hit hard. HAH!! His interview with Obama was softball.

Just like the Tucson shooting, when she was accused of the shooting, because of targets, there was crickets. Only Andrew Brietbart and Guiliani spoke out. Like Andrew Breitbart said in the the great documnetary about Sarah Palin “The Undefeated” chivalry is dead!

Newt did not remain silent – I have four links to videos where Newt has taken up for Sarah Palin
– on her qualifications against Obama 2008
– on her foreign policy remarks 2008
– on the vicious media attacks against her 2008
– on her death panel remarks (which been have proven true) 2009

I keep hearing about that movie “Game Change”. I thought it was a fiction book, but it refers to Palin? I might have to check it out.

The documentary about Sarah Palin is called “The Undefeated”. It is being shown on Sun., 3/25 on REELZ network. Because it is a documentary, you hear the real Sarah in her own words.

The book and movie, both titled “Game Change”, claim to be about Sarah, but are actually a hit job which portray every stereotype and meme the Left has fabricated about Sarah.

God I Love This Smart, Beautiful, Funny, Articulate, Strong, Fierce, Conservative Woman! I have from day one when I heard her speak. I lived in Alaska and knew the accent would make her an instant target for the ‘so called tolerant’ Liberals. She is honest and says what she means on every issue. I can’t say I disagree with her on anything. Sarah is a true common sense conservative Tea Party Patriot like all of us.

Ah, but she is an extremist !!

I can’t stand it when I hear that. We have come to a day when wanting a balanced budget, corrupt-free government, our freedoms respected, lower taxes, decency, smaller government, politicians to serve and not rule, and etc. is called extremist. If that’s extremism then we have totally lost what the founders built.

It’s considered ‘extremist’ because the Democrats and the Republicans have both shifted so far left that ‘slightly right of center’, where most of the populous is, appears to be waaaay to the right.
