Hannity to Newt: When will Republicans stand with one voice?

I must admit, this resonated with me because I’ve been feeling the same thing lately – when will the Republicans speak out with passion against these democrats? But Newt’s simple answer brought me back to reality:

Sometimes I do wish they would speak out with a bit more anger or passion in their voices when they do press conferences and such, but the truth is that Newt is right. I think the weight of what’s happening to our country makes me feel a bit impatient at times and I forget that every single Republican voted NO to health care. In fact they literally forced the Democrats to go with the last resort of ramming this down our throats because they couldn’t break the filibuster in the Senate. With the exception of a few, they have stood in unison against this statist agenda and have spoken with their votes, and for that I am proud. Many of our elected officials have gone the extra distance to hold town halls, to speak at Tea Parties and to get people together in Washington, standing arm in arm to try and save our country.

While we may quibble over nuances of more passion and such, the truth is they have held firm in opposition over the last 17 months, and I am glad that I was reminded of this tonight. Let us not forget this in November, 2010.
